Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
Scoring? lol Had to say DT. It all starts there and that hasn't been very good since 2001

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
Thats a hard question we need more play makers on O. A future QB or play making recievers is needed IMO.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
I think it comes down to run stopping. We remember Spags saying this team will focus on running the ball and stopping their run. Well we can run the ball, but can't execute the latter.
Kingakong Suh all the way![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
On Offense TE
On Defense DT...with OLB a close second.
i see us needing 4 good players on the O and 5 good players on the D to give us a chance of making the play-offs again in the future..even tho oddly enough i think the D has more talent on it out of the two units.
i vote for DT..but still think we should go QB with our 1st round pick..(mainly because i dont like the look of young QB`s available in F.A..where as in other positions the players that look like they will become available are more appealing..)

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
I had to go QB. Plain and simple, that is the most important position on the field. I know you need eleven guys paying as one, blah de blah de blah. I'm not a Bulger Basher, but if Marc isn't the problem, he is definitely not the answer. I'm not advocating using are first round pick on a QB just because it is our biggest weakness however. We are a bad team, we have to take the best player available. If it is Suh, by all means draft the bog boy.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
DT, DT, & DT !! A couple of big, mean, nasty, run stuffing, RB flattener's would help this team tremendously. A good push up the middle on passing downs consistently would help whomever was at the DE position and the D backfield. Sacks would come, pics would come. Domino effect !!!

Must be the fans, surely?
Or the quarterback position.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
I have to agree with many of the posts in this thread. If we can plug the middle then we have a better chance to stopping the run and keeping the opposing team on their heels. I must admit to being torn between DT and DE because we must also do a much better job of applying pressure to the QB. That can also be in the form of a OLB. Bottom line, it starts with a better defense that can make life easier for our offense. The game is a lot easier when you play from ahead.
Go Rams!

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
i voted dt, but really it's the whole d-line in general. probably the only guy we have that will be around as a long-term starter is chris long, unless scott develops. we could very well still need 3 guys out of 4 on the line.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
Before I say anything I want and I suspect the Rams will take a QB with their pick (cough Jimmy Claussen cough). QB isn't the biggest need, but in this day and age the main component in any rebuilding team is a franchise team and the Rams don't have one.
DT, we are struggling, but I like Clifton Ryan he is a hard worker and a good player. Scott was our best played on the d-line when he had his first start against the Seahawks. We really are going to have to keep an eye on the Scott Ryan combo these lat 5 games and see what these young guys can do. You also have Carriker comming back. Nothing outstanding here, but there is enough not to be our biggest weakness. There are plenty viable options in FA and I would rather get a guy there than in the draft.
OLB-horrendous. Lennon 32 does offer any upside should be a backup. Vobora is young, but he really isn't starting caliber talent as 238 pound SLB lets get real he is also a backup. Grant has size, but he hasn't had the reps and that says something considering who is starting right now. Chamberlin and Asidou pretty good special team players. Basically we don't have guys who should be starters in the NFL, but are pretty good depth/special teamers. Since we need to starters I expect Devaney and Co to get a starter in FA and draft a guy in the mid rounds.
TE- To me is this is the clear cut weakness. Fells/McMichael have been plagued with some horrible drops(McMichael) and false starts (Fells). They are playing plenty, but really haven't been all that productive. The one bright spot our best and most consistent TE IMO Bajema is playing the least. He is the best blocker by far and he actually has hands. The rams should go after a young pass cacthing TE in round 2 or 3. Some names that come to mind are Jermain Gresham, Anthony McCoy, Dennis Pitta, and Ed Dickson.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
If DT is the position we have needed for the longest time. WHY NOT GET ONE! I will tell you why, were too cheap. <<<Period! If you want a
great known DT, pay the money. But the Rams have not, to this point,
put there money where there mouth is.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
It was very close for me between DT and QB. I voted for DT feeling that a stonger defense will cure alot of what ails us.

Re: What is our single biggest weakness?
Really need to beef up that D, but I went with a QB. Think of it, a fresh face under center would help to put butts back into seats, more cash in the cauffers and maybe we'd have a little more wiggle room to add a few key FA's a year or two down the line.
But that being said, I'd really be extremely happy with going DT and LB with our first two picks anyway. They'd probably make more of an impact from week 1, just not as sexy of a pick.
