What position has been upgraded the most?
Okay... since my "most improved unit" poll ended up being a landslide, let's look at this from another angle.
Which position has been upgraded the most?

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
A couple of explanations in anticipation of potential comments.
First, I didn't include WR1, because I think it would be unfair to presume that Brian Quick will immediately be an upgrade over Brandon Lloyd.
Second, I didn't include OG, as we don't know who the starter will be.
Third, I didn't include CB2, as it is not certain (though it probably is fairly likely) that Jenkins will replace Brad Fletcher.
With those caveats, I think this is a tough call.
My first instinct was to go Bartell --> Finnegan but, as much as I do think that's an upgrade, Bartell was a very solid player when healthy.
I also considered goiong with Williams --> Pead, as I do think that there could be a significant upgrade there.
In the end, though, I went with Brown --> Wells. Brown's play (perhaps, in part, due to his depression over the death of his brother) declined to the point where he was benched. Wells, on the other hand, is a Pro Bowl level player.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
CB jumped off the page to me at first also since Bartell didn't even play last year but that would be too easy. I think WR2 is the biggest upgrade. I think adding Givens speed at that position is a huge upgrade that effects the entire passing game underneath.

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
I agree with you Av, Brown ---> Wells. Brown was a complete disaster last year and I expect Wells to make a huge difference with the line, as well as take some mental pressure off Bradford with line calls.

Went C: Jason Brown --> Scott Wells: This was a great addtion and should be a huge upgrade. Second ckoice was Cortland Finnegan.

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
I went with Another position which happens to be CB #4,#3, #2,#1 Justin King--> To Anybody else!! That's right!! Just by getting rid of him will save 10 Td's, countless yards and muliple Pass Interference hankies on game day!

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
Head coach, if that counts on this poll. All the positions have been upgraded to some degree, so it is very difficult to come up with a definitive answer. Scott Wells over Brown is as good as any on the list.

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
No argument against Wells over Brown. That's a fine choice.
But I went with Quinn over Hall. And I'm out on a limb a little bit with this one. Hall did a fine job for this defense, but Quinn's potential (along with what he flashed last year) leads me to believe that he will end up being a significant upgrade. And that's not a statement of Hall playing poorly, but rather the high-end level of play that Quinn may well bring."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: What position has been upgraded the most?
Had to agree with Wells over Brown, but HUb makes a good case for Quinn over Hall. I think we'll need a full season of Quinn at DE to know his trajectory. Having a tired and true Center will have a greater impact on the whole offense than the DE spot so I agree with you there. In truth, most if not all options you offer are solid upgrades.
Go Rams!

I second the anyone over Justin King vote. Be that Trumaine Johnson or Josh Gordy or anyone else. Good riddance.

My top choices were:
Fred Robbins -> Michael Brockers
&
Justin Bannan -> Kendall Langford"The potential in our lives far exceeds what we ordinarily imagine."
