What unit of the roster has been improved the most this offseason?

Where has the Front Office made the biggest upgrades?

I went with the defensive line. The Rams purged some over-the-hill parts (Robbins, Bannan, Hall), will elevate promising second year player Robert Quinn to a starting role, and added youth and depth with the addition of Michael Brockers, Kendall Langford, Williams Hayes and Trevor Laws.

Defensive backs, specifically the corners. Signed Finnegan, drafted Janoris Jenkins and Turmaine Johnson, so it doesn't matter if Bradley Fletcher and Jerome Murphy can't stay healthy

I went Defensive Backfield... considering who we had playing back there last year will all the injuries.

Definitely D Back field. Taking into account the signing of Finnegan in FA, and the drafting of Janoris and Trumaine... What a unit.

Ya without a Doubt the Defensive backfield. It went from a weakness to a strength IMO. I'm excited to watch how this translates out during the season and who if anybody gets moved to Safety depth.... I'd have to say D-Line is a close second since we have two nice DT's to rush up the gut to help releieve alot of chips/double teams and isolations against our two young DE's.

Why are people down on Fletcher? Fletcher is going to fight to be the #2 CB on this team. Worst case scenario he is our nickel corner which means we have a terrific #1-4 CB squad. Throw in an unleashed Quinn and it's going to be fun to watch.

I went DB but you need to clarify. Am I comparing Cortland Finnegan to a healthy Bartell or the guy who was actually playing the #1 CB position, Justin King?

Has to be the defensive backs - with this lot there's no way Justin King sees the field ever again. I'm really hoping Jerome Murphy gets the chance to play - he looked good in his rookie year. At the very least he can provide great depth at corner and safety position.

One could make the argument for the tightends - I think by not bringing back Stephen Spach I think this group has improved tremendously.

I selected defensive line because the quality we had there was underutilized last year in Long and Quinn and the addition of Brockers and Langford will make the line far more dangerous forcing QB's to throw into our improved secondary, elevating their performance. I can see the case for DB's but the line as I said will help the DB's PLUS we'll be much better against the run. Bottom line the impact of the defensive line will be greater.

    Go Rams!

Two ACL injuries in three years ain't anything to sneeze at. There's no guarantee he'll be healthy enough this summer to compete for a job. Worst case scenario is he's not ready by training camp, and the Rams move on. Hopefully this isn't the case, because when he was on the field, he was pretty good.

But I did go with the DB's as being our most improved position, specifically the cornerbacks. It may even become a strength of this team if these guys stay healthy and out of trouble.

Id have to say the defensive backfield easily. If cortland plays well and the picks learn from him, I can actually see us shutting down offenses.

I went with defensive backfield, as we signed and drafted some guys who play back there. It doesn't matter who, because I'm pretty sure that all we had back there last year were chickens with their heads cut off dressed in Rams jerseys. If those were football players, then I need to get my eyes checked. It would be hard for any upgrade of that unit to not make it the most improved unit.

Yes, DBs for me too. Of course, I'm not thinking of any 'risk factor' right now in terms of character issues and that type of liability, mainly from a rookie just drafted . Just football value.
