I'd give them Butler and a 3rd but I have a feeling Denver will go higher than that.

I'd like to go a 3rd and a player. I might be persuaded to go as high as a second, but I can't say for certain I'd pull the trigger on that.

Re: What would you give up for Kris Jenkins?

I'll bite on a third round choice and a lower caliber player ...

However, as much as I hate to say it, I'd give up Pisa and a late round pick. I love Pisa's energy, but I think we can survive without him, with the pickup of Draft. Considering the difficulty stopping the run, Jenkins would provide to be more useful plugging up the inside and allowing Draft, who is more adept tackler than Pisa, run free ...

Both Pisa and Jenkins are oft-injured, so that is a non-factor to me ....

I bet Denver pops a 2nd rounder for Jenkins. Just a hunch, but I like how Denver doesn't short change the defensive side of the ball.

Can't see Carolina wanting or seeing any value in J. Butler seeing as they already have a nice trio of corners. I'd give them D. Byrd and or as much as I'd hate to do it, Pisa. I think if we traded Pisa and picked up Jenkins, we could draft Patrick Willis to add some size to our LB corps.

Yeah, well look at their coach. He's a defensive guy if I'm not mistaken.

No, actually Shanahan is more known for his offensive prowess more than anything else. It's just that after being a HC for many years now, he has learned that you cannot win in the NFL without a quality defense: something Martz never really grew too understand.

as we are so desperate for a player of Jenkins quality i can see the FO pushing the boat out. Hell, we gave a second rounder for Turley once

At least Martz took us to the playoffs, if Linehan doesn't do that this year he's in very hot water.

Sorry, don't want him. Maybe a 5th round pick and that's it.

Methinks that the one vote for a first round draft choice came from our recent visitor from Pantherland.

I'd give a #3 and Mike Rumph, and or JB; the the Panthers balk, offer them a conditional 2nd day pick next year. Jenkins IMO would really up grade our DL and make a huge impact.

A 4th this year with a provisonal 3rd next year, depending on playing time.

Yesterday on Pro Sports Sunday Howard Balzer said he would offer a 5th and a provisional pick next year.

No way in **** is Carolina going to take a Rams cast-off as part of that trade, btw. And I don't see how anyone trades for Pisa, who has yet to prove he can make it through a season healthy.
