What is wrong with the fans?

I would assume that most of the posters on this board are truly diehard and would go to the game at whatever cost, if at all possible ...

With that said ...

What is wrong with the fans in St. Louis?

1300 tickets still left? We are only 1 game into the season and the "fans" are giving up? I realize that for the majority of the third quarter and all of the first quarter, we play like horsecrap against the Panthers. Problem was, I saw fans leaving in the third quarter!!

I don't live in St. Louis. I live way down in Alabama and I got a chance to finally come to the game last year against the *****. I was amazed at how QUIET the dome was. Where is the passion? Where is the fight?

I don't understand how there could possibly still be tickets available! Nothing would stop me from going to the game, especially if I could get tickets for cheap. I wish I was able to drive to St. Louis this weekend, but it's just not possible ...

WE NEED SOME NOISE IN THE DOME THIS WEEK! The morale is this team is seemingly low, and we need a 12th man. Come on!

I might be the biggest homer ever, but I am sitting down, jumping around, screaming, and yelling at my TV every week, whether we are 6-2 or 1-7. I feel that I am a real fan, and I will support this team, every week, until I die. As a matter of fact, I haven't missed a single game in 6 years now, and sometimes it's hard to find a way to get them out of market. Now I have DirecTV, so I see em all, but I can't tell you how many crackshack bars I've been to in an effort to support my Rams ....

REMEMBER!!! We were 4-1 last year and lost several in a row. It's still early, and we can turn this around just as well: I have no doubt we'll rebound against the ***** ...

Rams 20, ***** 17 ...

Re: What is wrong with the fans?

Sadly alot of St.Louis fans are only fans if the team is winning. Remember when the Rams first came here and fans were booing them? Yeah, I didn't forget that personally.

I rarely get to go to Rams games even though they are only 45 minutes from me, but I'm going next sunday and can't wait. At least one person will be cheering for them in the stands. The rest...well...I'm done making excuses honestly.

Re: What is wrong with the fans?

I'm glad that you can understand the season opener being slow to sell out, because I can't ...

It's the freakin' season opener!

I boo plays and boo certain players, but never would I outright boo or heckle my own team ....

I wonder how these fans are going to feel when the team leaves St. Louis for a city full of fans that actually care?

Re: What is wrong with the fans?

I doubt they'll be moving any time soon. It's unfortunate St.Louis is so much of a Baseball town (look at how they left the Blues out to dry lately. The blues actually have commercials practically begging people to come back) because they seem to treat their other sports as something to do when the Cardinals aren't playing. I think also most fans here see the Seahawks as rivals rather than the *****.

All I know is, I have two tickets this year and I intend to enjoy them. Right now it's a bit difficult, but I'm still with the commercials that say "I believe."

Re: What is wrong with the fans?

Look for the Rams to return to L.A. by 2012. The fans in St. Louis are mostly there if the team wins. The possible future new Majority owner Knows the Market is better in L.A. and will be back. The Fans in ST.Louis will be without a team again , Mostly due to there fair weather attitudes, and I'm no speaking for all fans in SL, because I met some diehards there, but the part time fans are the ones that ruin a teams home!!!!! Yes , I'm from So.Cal and the fans were not that great back then , but I think they will have a better respect for the Rams longer than ST.L has. They got a bowl and they expect one every year! Hell So.Cal. was happy just to get in the playoffs!!!!!! Oh and the Stadium will be built in Fontana. next to the speedway( Fontana 500) The Collesium don't have a hope in hell!!!!!!!

Re: What is wrong with the fans?

not the Rams back to california post again, they aren't leaving,I was at the game Sunday and I don't ever boo the Rams but the fans were more ticked off at the play calling than anything else,it's been a bad week for the team and the loss of Pace leaves people thinking the season is over so until the Rams show some life on the field,I think you can expect ticket sales to be down, and as much as I hate to mention it but I think the Cubs are in town this weekend in a hugh series with the Cards,I think, that sure doesn't help,I could be a weekend off on that.true Rams fans like all of us on the Clan will still be behind the team and the fair weather fans will come around when they start winning just like all other teams fair weather fans.

Re: What is wrong with the fans?

Yeah, don't bring the Rams back to California. We have the Angels, and everyone in StL knows you can only pay attention to one sport at a time...

What a bunch of garbage. If you don't support them, they WILL leave.

You misunderstood my point. While I can understand some apathy after a tough loss, the fact that we're playing the whiners in a very important game should have every Rams fan in a frenzy to buy tickets. I agree with you that the game should already be sold out and that the lack of strong support at a critical time against a bitter rival is disturbing.

A far as being the season opener, that was last week.
