What are you looking forward to?
Next year, I am looking forward to seeing Steven Jackson stay healthy and getting us a bunch of wins while having a great season statistically. So, what are you guys looking forward to the most? I just want to hear what all of you guys are excited about for next season.

Re: What are you looking forward to?
To be honest I cant wait to see spags on the sideline looking like an old school military air traffic controller, moving around like Neo in the Matrix
I just love a coach that has so much emotion riding on what seems to be every single play.
Quite the opposite of linehan who looked like Teller of penn and teller on the sideline

Re: What are you looking forward to?
I'm looking for a team that gives all they got for a win, and honors the color and history of the uniform by not letting other teams to harass them.
If the players can accomplish this . . . I will also be looking to read in the sports columns that the dome is the loudest stadium in NFL.

Re: What are you looking forward to?
Not to upset anyone who should NOT be offended, but my list of things to look forward to is as follows;
1) Not seeing a pansy / mama's boy coaching our team. (Linehan and Co. were all pushovers who took **** from players. I love Holt and Jackson, but if I'm coaching them, and they yell at me, I had best be chewing them out or what respect does the team as a whole gain for me?)
2) Seeing our defense develop. Defenses seem to be what keep good teams good. They are easier to maintain from year to year. The big attention to free agents seems to go to the offensive playmakers, and thus, it is safer to keep up a healthy stock of defensive talent that you can maintain from year to year, and fortify your offense through young talents. (the Steelers are only one example of this, Ravens, and many more.) Also, (I am not saying it doesn't happen) I cannot recall ever seeing a defensive player go through a mid-season trade. The defense becomes a unit as a whole, there is no ME or GIMME on defense. To be successful, you have to be one defensive front. On offense, you have issues like ball distribution, and who plays when and how much. You have quarterbacks and their "preferred" receivers. This could potentially develop some disturbances (see Cowboys). Not to mention, I love tough defenses.
3) Our offensive line to toughen up. I want to see a pocket, not a cheese grater. Yes they do thin out the defensive rush, but there are so many leaks you may as well just let the whole block through.Last edited by txramsfan; -01-25-2009 at 02:48 PM. Reason: keep it clean....tx

Re: What are you looking forward to?
The thing I want to really see is Bulger having a come back year. So many people on the board has been bashing him, claiming he will never be a good quarterback. I want to see Bulger being considered a top QB again.
Steven Jackson staying healthy. I keep saying this, but its true. When Steven Jackson is healthy, the Rams are healthy.
Chris Long and Adam Carriker developing into great players. They're still young, however I would love to see some improvement. Carriker is coming back healthy and Long is coming off of a pretty good rookie year.
Atogwe and Bartell making the probowl. These guys have been awesome for us, however, we need to get them signed in order to play for us.
Spags on the sideline. No need to explain, everyone is ready for that.
Finally, some heart and wins. When we played with heart, we seemed to be in games. Lets keep it up and win.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

1. A team full of confidence
2. A team with a mean streak
3. A team that wins and can hold a lead
4. A coach that is in charge and in control
5. Some games in throwback uniforms[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
SJax, a developing quarterbacks best friend...

Amen the that brother. At home, we look like a bunch of blueberries running around. On the road, they look like Q-tips. Actually, the all white isn't too bad, except the gold stripe is too thick, but I digress.
Didn't somebody post this thread last week? Anyway, I'm looking forward to the draft, free agency, and June 1st cap casualties. I'm also looking forward the Spags era!:1:

Re: What are you looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to Marc Bulger, Burton and Avery in their 2nd season together. Bringing back a healthy Jackson and McMichael with the focus on developing a running game, (SPAGS). Maybe we will have Torry Holt too who knows?
With the attention on improving our O-line and getting bigger and stronger in the trenches this could be a very exciting offensive unit.
GO RAMS!!!
