What's the fuss? Tinoisamoa will play
What's the fuss? Tinoisamoa will play
By Jeff GordonSTLtoday.com Sports09/15/2004
On Sunday, Rams coach Mike Martz wondered if linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa would miss a couple weeks after suffering a dislocated shoulder.
But then Tinoisamoa came to work Monday wondering what the fuss was.
"He's in here lifting weights," Martz said Wednesday. "He wears a brace. He'll be fine."
How can he be ready to play Week 2, at Atlanta on Sunday, after suffering that injury in Week 1?
"I think he has interchangeable parts," Martz quipped. "That is the only way I can explain it."
Linebacker Trev Faulk isn't so lucky; he suffered a torn hamstring muscle and is headed to the shelf. Tony Newson is expected to move up to the active roster to take his place.
Safety Adam Archuleta (back spasms), receiver Kevin Curtis (shin splints), linebacker Tommy Polley and center Andy McCollum (sprained ankle) are all expected to play through their injuries.

That's great news Dez. The man is a stud. I hope he dosen't have any problems laying down a hit like he did Sunday. :ramlogo:

Re: What's the fuss? Tinoisamoa will play
I think it is amazing that Pisa has been a Ram for a little over a year now and he is already one of the most popular and revered members of the team. Goes to show what hustle, energy, and enthusiasm can bring.
Now if only Pisa could share some of his fire with Mr. Polley!!

THE PLAY: how did it take place? I did not get to see the game and missed the entire 1st Qtr+ on radio.
During TV highlights I only got to see a rather crushing blow by Rams in a crowd -- was that Hawaii 5-0 getting in there against the Red Birds? Is that when Pisa got hurt?
Please share a brief replay here, yes?
Thanks. ...And I hope he really is all right!

Re: What's the fuss? Tinoisamoa will play
Found the above in another well-informed ClanRam thread.Tinoisamoa separated his right shoulder after a huge hit on receiver Bryant Johnson to break up a pass on the first play of the second quarter. He went to the locker room, had the shoulder popped back in to place and put on a harness. Tinoisamoa returned to the game soon after.

Oh, RR, that doesn't describe the half of it. Picture this...
