KurtWarner2005MVP - we think this guy might be a whiner fan
When did you become a Rams fan?

Curious to how this breaks down.

When did your allegience to Rams begin? Are you an orignal LA Ram fan or did you jump on the wagon when the team moved to good old STL? Be honest folks. No harm in admitting to becoming a fan in 95. Locals didn't really have a reason to root before then. All that matters is we've seen nothing but good times for the most part. Ramming speed heyward!!!

Re: When did you become a Rams fan?

I became a Rams Fan shortly after the NFC Championship game they lost to the Bears right before SB20.

I was 9 years old, and to me, before this happened, I thought football was boring because the game took soooooooooooo long. But something happened one Sunday night.....

My dad came into the living room, and these guys were trying to rap. The were awful! So awful that my sisters and I were on the floor laughing! Not long after the song was the Superbowl. I actually found myself ENJOYING the game! I couldn't look away. I was hooked. If the Rams had not lost to Chicago, the "Superbowl Shuffle" might have never happened, and there is a chance that I might have never really enjoyed the game. I owe them my love of the game, so that is why my loyalty has not and never will waver.

Re: When did you become a Rams fan?

I am an original L.A. Rams fan. My dad was a fan and I started liking them in the early 80's. Probably 81 or 82, all I remember about those years is they didnt win much but I've stuck with them ever since.

Kurtwarner5000, shouldn't you include 1999 in your poll? I would think alot of fans jumped aboard that year.

Re: When did you become a Rams fan?

Quite Simply, when Channel 4 (over here in the UK) First showed American Football back in 1982, the first ever game broadcast was Green Bay v LA Rams, i followed the Rams for 2-3 years, but at that time i was tempted by the lure of the Bears, but it was'nt until 1985 When i saw the Rams beat the Cryboys, and even tho at the age of 15 i cried when the Bears beat us! ever since that day, I've been a Rams Devotee!!!

Re: When did you become a Rams fan?

1988, I was 7, my uncle was a fan and bought me a Rams #32 jersey that I wore to death. Wasn't fun growing up a Rams fan in NY when they weren't playing well and I only got to see them when they played the Bills or the Giants.

Re: When did you become a Rams fan?

It's in my blood. (1969) When I was about 5 years old, I remember my dad screaming at our black and white T.V. (watching the Rams) and thinking this guys crazy .... I'll never be like him ?!

In the mid 70's, went to my first Ram (Harris, McCutcheon) game at the L.A. Collisium vs. the Falcons (Bartkowski) with my old man. From there, I was hooked. Suffered through all the Vikings and Cowboys playoff losses (seems like we would always beat one, than lose to the other).

Got season tickets in 1983 (Dickerson's & Robinson's rookie year). Coolest moment at Anaheim Stadium was in 84 when Eric broke the single season rushing title. Was in Florida when they moved to St. Louis, so to me it was not that big of a deal (the move).

Back in Southern California since 98, and continue to bleed blue and gold !!!
( turned out to be more diehard than my dad )

Thumbs up Re: When did you become a Rams fan?

KW2005MVP, this thread is a question that seems to appear every season but I sure enjoy it each time! It's great to share the info and stories among Ram buddies.

December of the 1965 NFL season, I "discover" the L.A. Rams. 1966*, Ram fan for life!

Welcome to ClanRam, JackieSlater.

*.- Still hoping to see those white and blue unis come back one of these years for a retro week or month or season. See avatar.
