When will I get my first in-person look at Bradford?

I am going to two games this year:

September 12: Home opener vs. Arizona

    October 24: Game 7 @ Tampa

When will I get my first look at Sam Bradford?

Re: When will I get my first in-person look at Bradford?

I'm betting that he'll be the opening day starter.

There are certainly a lot of pros and cons on this issue but, for me, the tiebreaker is the potential of a 2011 lockout. The Rams can't afford to let Bradford sit this year AND next year in the even of a lockout, so I think that, as long as they believe Sam can handle the job, he'll be in there from day 1.

I voted opening day starter. If Bradford can carry on with the rate of improvement that he has shown thus far then he'll win out the QB competition come week 1.

I just hope the O line can remain healthy this year and give Bradford a chance to show what he can do.

Opening day starter. He'll win it during the preseason. I'm on the Samwagon.

I've been saying that he is going to be the opening starter from day one and his recent play only strengthens my prediction. Opening day starter.

Re: When will I get my first in-person look at Bradford?

I'm going to say first game of the preseason he will get some playing time

I'm actually going to say around Week 7... Spags seems like he was really sold on A.J. being the starter, but of course we all know that was the "correct" thing to say as a head coach. While Bradford has looked great so far, I think he may show some rookie signs in the preseason and that will put A.J. as the starter for now. Now if we start winning we may not see Bradford at all this year, but there will also be pressure no matter what to get him in quickly.

Re: When will I get my first in-person look at Bradford?

Based on what we've seen and read thus far, it's hard to imagine he's not the opening day starter. He seems to be closing the gap with Feeley in practice and in the scrimmage. We'll have to see how he does in the preseason obviously, but I think the excitement is building and the Rams will want to get him on the field sooner rather than later, assuming he's ready.

Re: When will I get my first in-person look at Bradford?

This is of course pure speculation until we see some preseason action. If he performs in preseason, i think he gets the job. We all know that preseason action can be very misleading, but all things being equal, i think he will start if he shows well, which i believe he will if he gets decent offensive line play in front of him. Any discussion about his perceived performance in training camp before he throws in live action with a guy in his face is premature in the extreme (albeit a worthy discussion point at this point of the year along with all the other rampant speculation)

I don't think it's going to take long at all. If he isn't the starter by week 4 I'll be surprised.

    Opening day. Sorry A.J.
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

Re: When will I get my first in-person look at Bradford?

A.J. will start and we will win the first game against the cards.

    Hope will be restored.

A.J. will start and we will lose against the raiders.

The fans will demand Bradford but Spags will stand firm.

A.J. will start game 3 but he will be injured 12 minutes into the second quarter.

Sam will come in but not look real great.

At half-time he will be frustrated and sitting by himself in the locker room.

After several minutes of silence La'Roi Glover will walk over to Sam and say...

"It ain't nothing but a thing."

Bradford will go on to beat the redskins and we end up 8 and 8 at the end of the season.

Bradford buys everyone in Glover's family a Bentley.

Bradford gets the nod. I don't like it, I prefer to see rookie QBs get weened into the NFL, but we dropped too much dough on this guy to ride pine.

Let's face it, nobody is going to spend good money on a ticket to see AJ lead the charge.
