Hey Roy, the only unintellegent fan might be you bud!!! The Rams are a mess but I am still a fan. I have a right to my opinion maybe you should take off your rose colored glasses and look at results before you insult another poster on this site.

Re: Where are the Jackson Boo Birds today???
DGR, sometimes it really does seem like you have the little Red Devil on one shoulder, and the White Angel on the other.
For instance; within the same Post...

By the logic of the first point you make, as the entire team was also mentioned in this thread, they are guilty by association.
By the logic of the second point, the entire team is to blame... but its mainly Bulger's fault?
I just don't see what you mean. You're essentially making both arguments in order to draw the conclusion that "bulger sux". Is Bulger's success inextricably linked to the success of the rest of the team... or is it not?Last edited by Bar-bq; -12-10-2008 at 12:50 AM.

Re: Where are the Jackson Boo Birds today???
Here's the deal with Jackson.
Aside from being injury prone, he is not the type of back for this team. A power running game only works for teams that play staunch defense. Great defensive teams can pound the rock more than most teams because they expect to keep scores low, avoid turn-overs, make plays on defense, and win close games.
This is not our Rams. You can't take a team that the only thing they had was a quick, finess offense, and try to get a power running game going. Now we have no identity on offense, or defense.
Jackson can catch coming out of the backfield, but it's not like if you could just get the ball in his hands, he could break one. He get's an extra 2 or 3 yards with his bullishness, but I'd rather throw the swing pass to a player who is dangerous in the open field. Jackson's skill is his power, not his open field moves or his speed.
There are many a Steven Jackson around the league, big power backs - Marion Barber, Marshon Lynch, Brandon Jacobs, Lawrence Maroney, Lendell White. Half of these teams have other backs too. We just have Jackson. Our entire team is Steven Jackson.
...and whenever his misses a few games due to injury, he comes back and fumbles away the game.
