Im sure it's just a matter of numbers, and when Fisher wants to announce it. They already hired Spags, and Payton confirmed it at the season ending presser. Nothing to be worried about.

Rams named Gregg Williams as defensive coordinator.
St. Louis hired new head coach Jeff Fisher late last week, and he's not delayed in picking his coordinators. Williams will run the defense, and ex-Jets OC Brian Schottenheimer is expected to call the offense. Williams is close with Fisher, as the two worked together on Tennessee's staff from 1997-2000. Known for constant blitzing, Williams' Saints defense ranked 24th in 2011, but fourth in 2010. New Orleans led the NFL in turnovers caused in 2009.

on vacation i should imagine and after he left a now perenial playoff team,for the big challenge of getting us off the floor then jolly good luck to him. i hope he has a great time and is back refreshed and ready to go when it`s time for him to get to work. even without official confirmation of his contract with us being disclosed,the Saints have been talking enough..Vilma tweeting "good luck coach in St.Louis" etc.. Payton confirming it in an interview etc..

I'm under the impression that Williams is a lock for the DC position as well. Probably taking a much needed break after a long season. Very excited to see how he utilizes the talent we have on defense. We do have talent, more than the Saints D had.

The over riding memory I have of a Gregg Williams defense, was the NFC Championship in 2009. The Saints vs Brett Favre's Vikings. The Saints defense beat the hell out of Favre for four quarters and literally scratched and clawed their way to the SuperBowl this day. I know Williams has since had his problems getting consistency from the Saints D. But Ive seen enough to suggest he will not be out of his depth, in the big games.? He is not unlike Spags in some ways, scheme wise ???
