Who do we look at at OC now?

With Cameron gone and no big names out there yet (maybe Al Saunders if they hire the new front runner Fassell). Where do you go from here do you hire an inexperienced guy like Zampese or look in another direction. I think this give Linny the perfect excuse to hire a FOSL. He is the only one rejoicing that Cam is off the markett

It does look like Washington is gonna let Al Saunders go. I say we BETTER go after him!

Saunders would be a great move for the Rams.

Which is why they'll wait too long and make a move after he has another job with a different team.

    .
We need someone that needs a job and is willing to work here - maybe without relocating their family.

Looks like most of the NFL personnel know what is going on with the Rams.

The good part might be that Dan snider the owner of skins has dragged his coaching search out so long, that the only job open for saunders might be the rams.

Few people with other options will be coming to the rams. We basicly have to become the last game in town.

Hmmm. This is pretty depressing. It's been a bad day for me so far, then this just came up. Man...

Linehan will be running the offense again this year so expect them to hire a "fill in" until 09. There is absolutely no reason to believe him when he says the new OC will be calling the plays.

even if saunders was available , the rams will bring in the ZAMPESE kid . he has a history , he could be a young coordinator that the rams want , and also the rams already put in place a o-line coach and a rb/ asst. head coach to help him through the growing pains . just wait and see .

    Oh please. Based on what?

He told us when he had Olson take over the playcalling. He told us when he took it back from Olson.

I dont think allot of people are looking for OC, and if Fassel is hired Zorn will be too. I dont know if the FO will shell out the cash for Saunders and his 7,000 play book and he will probably want to bring in his own guys instead of working with these FOSL's

Re: Who do we look at at OC now?

As wonderful as Al Saunders is... his offenses tend to be very complicated, reliant on pro-bowlers on the offensive line, very run heavy, and then TE heavy passing.

The Rams have none of these(Pace the only pro-bowler at the moment), and while he's the last "big name" guys available, I think we need to either go collegiate or go with an up and coming QB or WR coach... or Marshall.
