Who do you HOPE will be the Rams OC next year?

This could be a key issue for 2011.

Who are you hoping it will be?

Shurmur. The stability, along with the not-a-one-man-team-wrecking-crew title will go a long ways for us next year.

    I voted someone else....

Anyone else want a OC? Not a OC that is trying to be a head coach ie childress and mcdaniels both would want a head coach job again and shurmer is already trying.

Re: Who do you HOPE will be the Rams OC next year?

All things being equal......I'd love to hear of a resignation in either New Orleans or Green Bay so we could land Sean Payton or Mike McCarthy. Either of which are probably the best OC in the land. But since they won't be taking a demotion to come here, I would turn to Cam Cameron, Mike Mularkey, or Mike Heimerdinger.

But with the list available, I'd probably have to lean towards McDaniels. I value the consistency of Shurmur, but I think in the end, McDaniels is simply better.

I picked McDaniels, but that's ifShurmur gets the job in Cleveland. I think it'd certainly be an interesting tandem seeing McDaniels utilize Bradford the way he did with Brady. Not that he "created" Brady the way McDaniels thinks he did, but he proved to be a successful OC with a good QB, which is what we have.

I want to see another year of Shurmer. My opinion, lack of run notwithstanding, we don't have all those drops, we beat Seattle.

I went with the most explosive offense.

McDaniels gives Bradford the highest chance to become "elite".

Now their are several drawbacks that concern me, mainly after a good year with the Rams he will just leave and become another head coach. But I hope owners see what he did with the Broncos, and prefer for him to not lead their organization.

Like I posted in the McDaniels thread:

    The big question is this:

Do we keep Bradford in the same WCO scheme to groom continuity, but which is a system that may restrict his full potential, or do we switch to McDaniel's high-powered attack which will force Bradford to adapt to a new scheme, but may in the long run unleash Bradford's full potential and make our team more fun to watch?

Re: Who do you HOPE will be the Rams OC next year?

The main reason why I would like McD to be our OC is that he can open up our offense.

I am also not a huge Chilly backer.

Given McD has had his issues with the spygate 2.0, but he coached Brady and Cassel when they had great years. And turned Kyle Orton into a potential pro-bowl QB before being fired. After which Orton flamed out.

    Just some thoughts.

I voted someone else but if Spags thinks he can keep McDaniels ego in check and not have to look over his shoulder every 5 minutes to see if hes trying to undermine him. why not. I dont mind ego's on the team but they have created a sort-of ego-free team orientated environment so it would seem somewhat of a distraction to me anyways. Maybe i dont know jackel crackle and he'll be a awesome team player. 2 cents ... ka ching

I know what you guys think of Bilicheck, but he has no coordinator on either side of the ball.

Re: Who do you HOPE will be the Rams OC next year?

I voted McDaniels. I liked what he did under Belli, and think out of him, Shurmer and Chilly, he would come with the most to prove being that he doesnt already know Spags as a friend. (other than his defense!). Maybe that will translate into a lethal offensive attack. Him having to earn the trust of the players and his offensive philosophy plus the chance at redemption since he has his whole career ahead of him, might bring the balance the team has been looking for.

I like Childress because of the more balanced running and passing attacks and not sand bagging SJ. Under NO circumstances do I want McDaniels!!!!!!!!!!!!! First thing he will talk trash to SJ39 and have him traded and then trade Bradford out to like he did in Denver!!! haha

Week 17 excluded, I would say SJ got his share of carries. The guy was 2nd in the league in rushing attempts and in touches.
