Who do you want on opening day at the number two wide-out?

Who do you want on opening day at the number two wide-out? The question is NOT who do you think it will be but who do you want it to be.

Voted for Quick, as I think he provides most diversity to what Chris Givens brings. Pettis should be used alot in red zone and 3rd down situations. imho
That being said I think or it looks like it will be Givens & Pettis with the other guys coming in at any time to spell CG and Pettis also for special formations. etc

I went with Bailey, he has shown he runs great routes and has really good hands. He reminds me of the great Lynn Swann. He plays much bigger then his size, he has a knack for timing the pass and catching it at it's highest point. He gets separation quicker the both Pettis and Quick. Better RAC then Pettis for sure, not sure about Quick.

Maybe by week four like Givens last year he comes on and will takes over... I hope.

i want quick...though it may be bailey

like most have said, quick is a good compliment to givens' game

though bailey could very well take over if he doesn't drop the ball

I want Quick but not because I particularly like what he brings to the table more than the other wide receivers per se. I want Quick to start that #2 spot because it'll mean between now and the start of the season he'll have really shown the coaches something. Pettis sets a solid floor for the #2 spot, and if Quick starts at 2 it means he's surpassed that and playing more like his potential.

Well so far Quick has out played him in the first game so he's on his way.

I'm really hoping Brian can step up. He has so much potential. He's a huge target with an incredible catching radius and deceptive speed. Quick is the ideal compliment to Givens. Not to mention he offers a huge red-zone target.

Quick, he has a higher ceiling. Now whenever we're facing Seattle, it should be Bailey since they make smaller receivers look good. It's just a matter of which corners were facing and which receivers we have best exploit their weaknesses.

Voted Quick but he could be our # 1 and maybe Givens #2. Just going by the comparisons to Bruce (Quick?) and Holt (Givens?)???

I would love too see Bailey, Every time i'm reading about him, everyone talks about his route running & how crisp & precise he is. This is something that the great Issac Bruce took pride in & if we have a young receiver that takes pride in this & has encouraging words coming from the Ike himself, then I'm all in.

Re: Who do you want on opening day at the number two wide-out?

Right now, at this point, I want the guy that is going to make the catch.

I think Bailey is just better at this point than Quick at plucking the ball.

It's only been one preseason game, but talent will out, and Bailey looked really good.

I want Quick, but I expect it to be Pettis. However, I think Bailey and Quick give us more upside so I believe they'll be starting before the end of the year.

Re: Who do you want on opening day at the number two wide-out?

With Quick you still hear the word inconsistent used to describe his play at practice.

With Bailey you read stuff like this:

    By Nick Wagoner
Rookie receiver Stedman Bailey had another strong practice in what is now turning into a long line of them. He was essentially perfect in one-on-one drills and continued to get open and catch everything thrown his way in team drills. It remains to be seen if he can do it against the top corners but he’s having his way with the backups on a regular basis.
Who knows maybe Quick will be one of those guys that is just not into practice but plays big on Sundays.
