who is the most underrated ram?
My answer? Big Grease. I think that Pickett has been double teamed repeatedly and has done a reasonably good job occupying blockers. As Big Bear emerges this year, i expect pickett to look a lot better to the fans. Picketts job is a thankless one and its very hard to see his contributions on tv since he doesnt get a lot of sacks or tackles per se. In short, a very, very solid player who i would love the see the rams lock up with an extension now (i believe he is up at the end of this year). The kind of guy that gets no real press but when you have to replace him on the open market he costs a bundle. In addition, he should just be approaching his prime, remember we picked him when he was still very young.

I agree with Rampower, it's Bulger.

Jeremetrius Butler. He one of the top takeaway guys in the league over the past couple of years and rarely gets beat deep.

Butler's been a starter for two seasons and has nine interceptions. That's impressive, but he's no Ed Reed. I'm not sure I'd rank him as one of the top takeaway guys in the entire league just yet.

Actually, he has 12 takeaways in the past two years (9 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries). I believe that puts him in the top 5 in the league in takeaways over the past two years. (Dre Bly, for example has also had 12 takeaways in the past two years, but he has made the Pro Bowl both years).

I dont include bulger because to me, he is not underated at all, in that i think he is fantastic and i believe that many rams fans feel that way as well. Bulger i believe is the correct answer if you look at how others around the league perceive us, since bulger doesnt get credit most of the time, only blame. I should have been more specific with my question, i really meant what do we on the board think, rather than the public.

Re: who is the most underrated ram?
I gotta say Kennedy. As with Pickett, nobody is going to truly appreciate the work he does, because it doesn't show up on a stat sheet. But if he remains healthy, he will be the best NT, we've seen in a long, long time. He will suck up blockers, leaving Little and Hargrove with more open lanes to the QB. The "bust" police are going to wet themselves laughing at me, but IMO, Kennedy and Pickett will form the best interior line combo in the league this year, and for years to come.

I would have to agree with a few here. From what I've seen Butler is very good, but you rarely hear about him.

Re: who is the most underrated ram?
How about Chris Massey the Long Snapper? When was the last time the Rams had a bad snap on a kick or punt. The true definition of underrated. I had to look him up on the Rams web site to see who handled those duties for the Rams.

Re: who is the most underrated ram?
I am going way WAY out on a limb here, but I just can,t help it: The Rams have not had another "feel good" story since the departure of KW. Therefore fellow Ram fans I submit to you (drum roll please) Mike Furrey!

I love massey to death, but i think that he has had one bad snap in his career, the one on the 53 yard fg in the carolina game that wilkins missed by a yard short. Snap wasnt horrible, just threw the timing off a bit and that led to the miss IMO>

Re: who is the most underrated ram?
the only problem with the "mike furrey" feel good story is that he'll be cut before the season starts. No way he makes it at safety.
The whole NFC west is underrated if you ask me. Supposedly this is one of the "weekest" divisions. Yeah, we'll see how easy it is this year. I bet there's a wild card in this division.
