Who will be the Rams' "White Knight" in 2013?

Is there a player that you think will return from injury, improve his play, or take on a bigger role and, in doing so, help the Rams move in a more positive direction this year?

I went with Tavon Austin largely because his talents have yet to emerge properly and he's been under-utilized. Once the offense starts to integrate him and allow for his explosiveness to come forth, I believe that will energize the team onto greater things. If this doesn't happen soon the questions will start about why we traded up to take him. My fervent hope is this happens this Sunday in Houston.

    Go Rams!

I anticipate that Tavon will be the popular choice, and I almost went with him, but instead I chose Stacy.

Why? Because if he can help make the running game more productive, I think that will have a big ripple effect on the team.

I'd say that last year's answer to this question would have been Janoris Jenkins.

I would only counter that Stacy will be a long-steady drip while Austin could be an explosive jolt that gets everyone's attention. Of course if Stacy pulls off a long TD run then I would agree with your choice. Either way its a win-win for the Rams.

    Go Rams!

If Stacy can just keep the offense " on schedule" he will be doing his job and quite possibly save our season. Our running game does not need to be top 5 quality but it does need to be somewhat successful so opposing defenses do not double up on the guys outside.

If it's anyone this season I think it will have to be Stacy. We need that ground game to keep defenses honest so we can go over top with Givens and Austin. Plus, being able to convert a 3rd and one kinda helps.

I hope and we need it to be Sam Bradford, and there's 78 million reasons why.

He's suppose to be the leader and his salary says he's the best player in Rams history. Still I went with a Tavon/Stacy combo.

His salary says he was signed under the old, inflated rookie scale.

Seriously... can we give the salary thing a rest already? Its boring, and adds nothing to the conversation.

I went with someone else, and that player is...

    Chris Long

He had a great game against the Jags but hasn't caused a lot of havoc the rest of the games. He hasn't played bad by any means, don't get me wrong, but he isn't doing as well as in the past. I think he will have a breakout second half of the season IMO. This was a touch question to figure out, but i think Long will be the one, and in doing so, will improve our line as a whole.

I agree, not his fault there wasn't a rookie wage scale when he was drafted, has no barring on anything.

I went with someone else like TAMPA...however my guy is WILLIAM HAYES this teams identity last was building that smash mouth pass rushing defense...We have not seen that on every play this year getting Hayes back from injury will keep our D-line rotation fresh

Of course our offense needs to play better and stay on the field... But our defense needs to feel the most pressure to get better especially up front because that is who I think we are supposed to be a defensive team that is very strong up front

Hayes is a good choice as well, forgot about him for this poll.

Agree with Tampa Ram. Chris Long needs to show us why we gave him that nice extension. I'll go with somebody else along the front line. Michael Brockers, the second half of the season he was a dominant run stopper. There are a lot of runs being busted for good gains that go right at him. Time to step up Michael and get it done.

Michael Brockers. He made some great stops in the run game yesterday and has really stepped up his game. 10 tackles, 3 sacks, and a forced fumble over the last two games. We need him to lead the resurgence of our d-line.
