Re: Who will be the starting No. 2 WR on opening day?

I chose Robinson mainly because of the veteran factor. He was fairly good as a rookie for the Falcons, and has actually started games in the NFL. Burton looked good at times, but I think he'll still be behind Robinson for week 1. But the flashes that Burton showed in that 3rd preseason game just goes to show me that he will very much challenge for the start when he has a full offseason to work on a rapport with Bulger. Bright times are ahead in my mind!

Re: Who will be the starting No. 2 WR on opening day?

Assuming Avery is the number 1 receiver, I voted Robinson because of the vast potential he supposedly has, that I've read about. I don't think Burton has any edge over Robinson at this time because they're both working with a new system, and starting at ground zero. And Burton didn't do anything last year to set my hair on fire.

...but as another member touched on here, Robinson may become #1, and then the question will be; "who will be #2 opposite Robinson?"

But i voted for Dane Looker!

The question was about week 1 only not the season. I see Keenan Burton as more of a slot receiver. And we just acquired Jackson. So i think Looker will start the first 2 weeks than we will see Jackson (who is also a better slot receiver) and burton with some type of spilt in starts at #2.

Foster i think is 1-2 years away from developing into a good WR.
What "Jackson" are you talking about?

I would say Robinson he and Burton have both been banged up, but I like Robison's size and speed combo complimenting Avery. He also has the most experience as a number 2 guy, Burton is a really good fit in the slot anyways, where he would be backed up by Stanley. Brooks foster is a dark horse he's got all the tools, he needs to put them all together to start

The one bad thing about every single one of these guys is none of them are verry drubale at all.

My prediction for the reception leaders is

    1. McMichael
    2. S-Jax
    3. Avery (yardage leader)
    4. Burton (slot guy more receptions)
    5. Robinson (I think he will be the number 2 and have more yards than Burton, but he will get banged up somewhere along the road)
    6. Stanley
    7. Fells
    8. Bejama

i think robinson will surprise us and be the number 2.
remember devaney drafted him when he was with the falcons and he brought him here so he must think highly of him, i for one believe in billy's judgment.

he is 6'2, has good hands and i think would be a great tandem with avery.
burton and foster in the slot.

After the June 1 cuts we'll make a move and bring in a vet to start opposite D. Avery.

My money would be on Robinson. He caught a lot more balls in his rookie season (2007) than Burton did in '08. I also hope to see McMichael involved more in the passing attack.

Maybe I should start a new thread but do you really believe Avery is a #1 receiver. I don't. And I think last year when he was he was shut down.

What else do we have? IMO regardless of who we have I don't think the Rams are going to have true number 1 receiver this year, because Avery our number 2 guy doesn't have a number 1 receiver to make him a number 2. But who knows maybe Avery Develops into a Greg Jennings number 1 type receiver this year.

we are going to run the pat shurmur philly offense.
besides t.o. how many no.1's have philadelphia had with all their trips to the conference finals in the last 8 years.

steven jackson will probably catch more balls than avery
