Who would you like back if you could?

These guys have RECENTLY either been let go by the Rams or were FA's that went somewhere else. Just curious as to who you would like back. I got to go with Pickett. I think when he left GC and I wanted to storm Rams Park like it was Pork Chop Hill.

Probably Curtis and Pickett. If Curtis was still on the Rams, we would have two speedy receivers on the field, and it would give Bulger another good target to throw to.

I think you forgot London Fletcher.

Agree with txramsfan. If we dont build our front seven up were just fooling ourselves. although Im wondering why we couldnt stop the run when we had pickett. Someone mentioned great pass rushing defences but Its hard to find players who can stuff and sack. So Id rather build to stop the run. The reason the steelers are so good is because theyre stout. The moment I think the rams are improving against the run, they have a game like the atlanta game.

Yeah even though it wasn't all too recent, London is still playing like a beast.

Of the list I went with Kevin Curtis. He has pretty much established himself as the number one for the Eagles, and look where they ended their season. How did we let him out of our grasp just to throw big money at big bust bennet?

(Off topic alert: Of course the whole Kevin Curtis and the Eagles offense is just another argument against drafting Crabtree )

I'm also amazed you left your guy London (moment of silence) off the list,tx.

Losing Pickett was the last straw for the defense if London was the first.

But I think we should have paid Curtis and traded Bruce after the '06 season for some more help on D/draft picks.

As much as my heart says Ike, the answer has to be Pickett. Second place might be hedgehung.

I supported the decision to sign bennett over curtis so i wont criticize it now, although obviously its been a debacle of biblical magnitude. Fletcher has been gone too long to be on the recent list.

I had to go with Kevin Curtis. The temptation was there to go with Ike, but his age became the main factor why I couldn't. Curtis would provide the hands and speed missing from the offense, not to mention a veteran presence among a young receiving corps (provided Torry Holt doesn't return.) I also think he'd be a good alternative to Drew Bennett if he can't stay healthy.

After listening to The Dan Patrick Show today I cannot help but think we could use Jack Youngblood.

If anyone gets the Dan Nation podcast and can put it on youtube..... well, let's just say Ram Nation would be grateful!

Re: Who would you like back if you could?

One more receiver would have far less impact on this team than a remote shot at stopping the run, which is what Pickett gave us. Pickett LED THE NFC in tackles by a defensive tackle the year we let him go on the cheap. Thats right, led the entire nfc in tackles at the DT spot and led the NFL in tackles for a loss by a DT.

Definitely Pickett, NT is one of our biggest needs right now and imagining Carriker, Pickett, and Long together just makes me sad. It makes our small LBs sad also. We should rob the Pack of one there big tackles Collin Cole as payback and to soften the blow.

Fascinating that Tx did not list warner as one of the choices.

Re: Who would you like back if you could?

I would want to go with either Pickett or Bruce. Pickett has been very good since he was released (and he never was bad here from what I remember, he was solid overall). Bruce brought a ton of leadership with him, and I really believe if we had him this year we would have won those games that we lost in the 4th quarter. Of course, even with how good Bruce is, the O-line not doing that great of a job would hurt his numbers (as with Holt) this year anyway.

very fascinating....this weekend should be interesting. There might be a few a people wishing that we had Warner back.

What about Hedgecock? He has been doing well.

Kevin curtis, not only can he help our young receivers, but the guy moves the chains.
