Who'll Return Kicks?
With neither Pyatt or Hagans making an impact in the kick return game, where are we? Last year we had return by committee and never really settled on anyone to take control of the position. Looks like we're right back to square one, which is a bit unsettling heading into opening day.
Any ideas on who we put back there?

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
I was looking forward to, as I'm surewas the coaching staff, to watching different guys return kicks last night against Miami. But thanks to Olindo Mare there was only what, one KR? I still think Curtis would make a great return guy for punts or kicks, but I don't know if the extra exposure to possible injuries is worth it. Dante Hall and other #3 or higher WR's in the league do it just fine, and Id love to see Curtis give it a go.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
I thought I saw something that suggested McDonald was going to return punts, but the kickoff return situation seems as convoluted as ever.

I think we should look at Renaldo Nehemiah.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
Well, if we're going to go in that direction, I'd prefer Ron Brown.
Pyatt is out of the equation, and while Hagans and Russell could be getting some last minute consideration, they may be longshots. Hopefully we can get this settled and have one less thing to worry about on opening day.

Pyatt was Cut. So I hope Russell gets another shot at it.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
Why don't we try Dejuan Groce as punt returner? I recall that he set some kind of NCAA punt return record (most touchdowns in a career?) while he was at Nebraska. At this point in time he couldn't do any worse than what we have been using.
WHAT SAY YE?

Russell or Groce would be my choice!

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
Okay, I'll say this one more time.
Fred Russell should be given a shot at returning kicks. He's elusive, has a great, quick burst of speed, and could be a valuable back-up rb.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
Again, I feel the same way. Although he hasn't had a lot of chances returning kicks, IMO he has the best potential of anyone I've seen in a Ram uniform since Tony Horne.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
i really dont care who we use ,the fact that we still dont have a definate answer to this problem bothers me,it was a problem last year and continues to be this season and it seems to have been put on the back burner once again,i just read where linehan said they havent decided yet, hello coach linehan, that is what preseason is for,you play in 1 week and ST is a glaring weekness with this team, time to make it a priority, please.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
How was this put on the back burner? We signed Pyatt and drafted Hagans to try and fill our return game. Now just because they might have not worked out as well as the coaches thought, I don't believe it was put on the back burner, the attempt by the staff was there to try and improve the return game.

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
I'd like it if either Dane Looker or DeJuan Groce could return kicks. Groce would probably be number 5 CB if he made the roster and after reading what could be true from RAMarkable, It sounds great and Dane Loker deserves more playing time instead of always holding the football for Wilkins. And did Looker try returning punts in the Preseason?

Re: Who'll Return Kicks?
Didn't see Hagans on the final cut list so it looks like we're going to utilize him along with Curtis and McDonald on returns. At this point, I'll be happy if they can catch the ball and move forward. Anything else will be gravy. It would be nice to see Hagans develop into something.
