    Who's Defense Was That?

Why can't every week be whiner week?

    Effective blitzing.

    Pass rush.

    INT

    Pass breakups.

And most of all A RUN DEFENSE !!!

I still can't figure out why the most talented Offense in the league can't score ?

Other than Fisher's guarranteed big play per game give up, it was a great performance...

Perhaps that's why they're 1-11. Things might not come as easily against better teams.

The defense was impressive. I am left wondering if they are improving or if the whiners are just that bad that they make our D look good.

There was some nice blitzing and lots of pressure from many guys. Little, Lewis, T Jackson, even Kennedy were pushing the line around and getting through.

    Butler's interception was beautiful.

    The run defense was there.

Granted, it was the *****r's, but, the defense looked to me like they came to play today. Several 3 and out's, effective blitzing and an impressive run defense. Not to mention Butler's interception. Let's hope this is the new face of the defense after being called out. The special teams play has shown a marked improvement the last couple weeks as well. If both can keep up this kind of intensity we have a chance this year.

i agree that the effort was there, but the offensive line for SF is just terrible. Lest we not forget that SF's running offense is DEAD LAST in the nfl. Lets see how we do against carolina, a huge game, who has won four in a row.

The ***** also rank 30th in terms of sacks allowed this season. So getting pressure on the QB hasn't been that hard against them.

The niners have one of the slowest and softest lines in the league. Yes, we caused pressure and that led to some good things, but Marmie and company can not sit back and decide that "they've arrived". They've got bigger challenges ahead. If they can cause that kind of pressure against the Panthers, Eagles & Jets, then we're in business.
