Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
The way Jackson has run of late, I'd like to see Faulk extend his career and be moved to 3rd WR ... forget the other 4 for now.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
That's an interesting thought, though perhaps a bit premature.
I voted for McDonald which, frankly, is a surprise. At the start of camp, I was betting on Curtis. And while Kevin has looked good and should contribute this year, McDonald really looks like he can do a lot of the things Hakim did as a slot receiver. I think a guy like McDonald in particular benefits from the greater enforcement of rules against D-backs.Last edited by AvengerRam; -08-30-2004 at 03:48 PM.

I think while both McDonald and Curtis have been impressive thus far, McDonald has the edge right now. I loved that crossing route for a TD against the Redskins.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
I voted McDonald, although Curtis has looked pretty good, also. McDonald by a hair.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
I voted for Curtis. My preference would have McDonald run punts & kicks back and rotate in at the 4th receiver. It may come down to the type of play called, then it could be Looker for 1st down yardage, curtis to spread the field and force defences to or man to man, or Mcdonald for those crosing routes.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
I voted for Curtis, he has just looked to me the better player in the preseason. Although, I hope they are all used in different situations to shake things up and hopefully have an advantage over the defense.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
I voted for Curtis. My preference would have McDonald as the 4th WR I think Curtis is so fast he will get, some pass interference calls. with his speed teams will have to cover deep and this should open thing up over the middle.

Gotta go with McDonald. He's been playing lights out this preseason and isn't getting balls ripped away from him, i.e. Kevin Curtis.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
I voted for McDonald, but I do like the idea of using McDonald,Looker, and Curtis as the 3rd receiver based on the situation. That would give opposing defenses a little more to think about.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
This is exactly what I'm thinking, with McDonald being the primary. I was pulling for Curtis since we drafted him, but McDonald has impressed this year. If Martz can utilize all of them, which I'm sure he can, it'll be scary. You know what the only problem's going to be? WASTING TIMEOUTS! With the receiver depth, the possibility of utilizing Faulk, Jackson, and Gordon, the personel changes could be worse than ever.

I think the # 3 receiver will remain to be Looker. I may change my mind later, once I am confident that Mc Donald can hold onto passes in traffic.
I want to see Mc Donald get playing time, but as a 4th receiver, with Faulk. Bruce and Holt. AWWEEESOMME!!
Plus, I want Mc Donald to have energy for punt returns.

Re: Who's the Ram's #3 WR?
I just love the fact that we have this problem. Holt is one of the league's best 1WR. Bruce is probably the best 2WR. I'd put Curtis, McD or Looker up against any 3WR in the league and certainly ahead of any 4WR & 5WR. Then there's icing on the cake, could any team boast a better 6WR than Furrey.
With the wafer thin lines that we have, it's good to have a position where we are ocean trench deep."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
