Why is nothing being done about the LG position?
So it is wednesday now and we havent claimed anyone on waivers or signed any free-agent so our LG is either Shelly Smith (waiver pick up) or Quinn Ojinaka
How can we not do anything about this position Ojjinaka gets beat more consistantly than a steve spags coached team.
We saw how well the seahawks got to rodgers...i feel bad for bradford...
But seriously there is no one on the streets that can do better thank ojinaka?

There is nothing we can do. We gotta let Shelley Smith continue to learn the offense, and hopefully he is ready to play, because watching Ojinnaka was hard. There is no-one we could go out and get. We're depending on Ojinakka or Smith now.

Could anyone on the DL come over and help out. The hags have a converted DLineman I believe. These guys should know their congruent positions well. It's a stretch, but I'd be getting someone up.

Unfortunately, the Rams aren't the only ones with O-line woes. The cupboard is pretty bare right now.

I read some good things about Shelley Smith when we got him. I'm hoping he can beat out Ojinakka in the short term like by this week.
We just have to hang in there, once we get Wells back we can move Turner to Guard. Once we get Saffold we can move Hunter to Guard. I think Saffold will come back first maybe in three weeks, they said it was a month he would be gone.

Again, as I've said before if he's there with the 2nd first round pick, we have to land B. Jones (C,G,T) from Alabama, this mess with the O-line has gone on long enough!

Re: Why is nothing being done about the LG position?
I understand that there isn't a lot available right now, but I still think that Jake Scott would be worth a look-see.
Fish has a history with him in Tennessee and he has got to be an upgrade over a puke like Ojinnaka.
Bring him in and give him a shot...What have got to lose except Sam for the rest of the year.
WHAT SAY YE?

Re: Why is nothing being done about the LG position?
Scott probably wants a long-term contract worth several million per year, probably with a lot of it gaurenteed. He is 31, but he has been a consistent performer for years. He certainly could be starter quality for the Rams for a few years. At this point, we should seriously be considering this guy, unless there is information out there that we as fans are not privy to.
The Rams are in such a terrible position, I just don't see passing up a quality starter over a money issue (unless he has lost his mind asking for more than 4-5 mil / year). If the Rams can't get the line straightened out, the whole season could be a write-off.

Re: Why is nothing being done about the LG position?
Yea theres probably a reason Scott is not with a team yet...also with Dahl and Wells signed as big money FA i dont think we can afford another interior lineman at a high price
all im saying is somethings just got to be done do u guys see the way DLs either just push him back or blow by him
AV had a nice thread about guys like him stepping up but the guy is just god awful
At this point I rather just trade for Tim Tebow put him at LG and have him pray the defender slips on every play
