Why Rams fans should be excited.

I see a lot of doom and gloom around here.

You guys need to realize a couple things:

    1. You're an NFC West team. Everyone is owning the NFC West this year. The Chiefs are 4-0 against the NFC West. If you didn't see this coming....

    2. You have the best quarterback in the division. Like I said, the Chiefs played 4 NFC West teams this year. I saw all of those games. Alex Smith is garbage. Hass is washed up and Derek Anderson might be the worst QB in football. The Rams are going to win a lot of NFC West divisional titles with Bradford. Seattle, Arizona, SF, even if they get a quarterback, they'll be lucky if he's as good as Bradford. This guy has everything you want. Accuracy, pocket mobility, a good arm, and he processes information quickly and decisively. I was impressed.

    3. Yes, Bradford is that good. This is the best rookie year for a QB I can remember in awhile. He was not as bad as his numbers against the Chiefs. He frustrated me a couple of times by making plays a rookie should not make. He got no help from his receivers, almost nothing from his running game and his protection was terrible. A lesser player would have thrown the Rams out of that game by the third quarter.

I don't know if the Rams win the division this year, because that trip to Seattle will be a tough game for a young squad. I do see a very bright future for the Rams, though. The rest of your division is lying in tatters and the second best team is coached by that idiot Pete Carroll.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm thirsty. Here's my favorite cup:

Thanks again for being such a classy poster. Kudos to you! You're more than welcome around these traps at any time.

Congratulations on the win today. You played better than we did. I think these governor's cup games will be really exciting in the next couple of years. Two young rosters brimming (hopefully by that time...) with talent, going tit for tat until the final stages. It excites me.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for the words - I was particularly surprised with your being impressed with Bradford, considering this was the worst game we have seen from him. KC and STL are similar in that they blew up their rosters and started from scratch a few years ago and both now have bright futures. You guys are a year or so ahead of us, but it's blue skies ahead for both teams.

It might make you feel even better about your win to know that my wife and I now have to wear Chiefs jerseys in a few weeks thanks to a friendly wager we had with my brother-in-law and my nephew. Sheesh.

Both Chiefs and Rams have come a long way.

Understandably so. Getting an "L" in a game that should have been a "W" lends itself to some doom and gloom.

Uhh. Sam Bradford didn't look good in this game. What game were you watching?

Are you really getting excited about that cup? OMG.

Bradford was under immense pressure and his receivers dropped passes that would have extended drives.

I was impressed that he didn't put St. Louis in a 4-TD hole.

    Hey, don't bash the cup.

Now we just need the chiefs to give it back .

    Give it back?

The Rams would have had to have possessed it at some point.

Congrats on your win, I'm going to get a lot of crap from Charger fans for losing to you but do me and a few of us Southern Californian Rams fan a favor and clinch the AFC West so that all those stinkin Charger fans who behave like the general consensus of Raider fans will shut up and realize that they're a dysfunctional organization having a majority of bandwagon fans.
