Why the Rams lost today
Because the Giants played one hell of a football game. Period.

Re: Why the Rams lost today
And, we didn't pass nearly enough. 15 rushing attempts... hmmph just wasted plays.

Re: Why the Rams lost today
I think the bottom line is that we are not as good as we all hoped we were. We are an average football team at best and until we figure out something other than Marmie, that will not change.

Re: Why the Rams lost today
We have a predictable, one dimensional offense. We don't know how to run the ball, but I can't blame the offense for this loss. They put some decent points on the board.
Rams defense. Yuck.
They still seem to be holding up against the run, but they have no clue what to do against the pass.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Why the Rams lost today
The leadership, or lack thereof, must change. And it will. This is the last year for Martz. I hope!

But still we are 2 and 2,
and all the season to gain.
This team's not done, we're not through,
we'll triumph in the end!

I still remain, thy truest friend.Last edited by coy bacon; -10-03-2005 at 12:20 PM.

They made some great plays on us, they really did. Big time catches when they needed too.Because the Giants played one hell of a football game. Period.
It's tough to win on the road period.

Fema Is Running Our Team
NO MENTAL TOUGHNESS. NO SENSE OF URGENCY. TOO LAID BACK.
Why didn't we lay out one of their players (Shockey) for what they did to our guy? Why is our Defensive Unit not tough? Why is no one ripping out the hearts of the ball carrier/catcher? Why don't their RB & QB have bruised ribs like our guys? Why can't we get to a puny QB?
Why didn't Bulger see that Faulk wasn't the lineup if he's the one who runs the reverse?
Where is the sting, zip, and flash that used to be game, set & match?
Our players can catch the ball, but they have NO SENSE OF URGENCY. What's wrong with a 'hurry up' offense to set the Defense on their heels?
The culture of our team is living on its laurels of the past. They need to reestablish a new reputation.
Before I go, I must say "Props to Barron" for his contribution to the team since he has played. I was reserved on the judgment about putting him in, but he's one finger in the leak. Now Barron or Pace needs to kick Steven Jackson in his buttocks to get him in gear. He has been a letdown so far.
Thanks for the opportunity,

Re: Why the Rams lost today
I do not protest too much coy. I am disappointed in them. They did not even bend, they plain broke down.
Eli is puny and he does not look like he could take much of a hit. How many sacks did we get? I know Hargrove got one. I would have liked to see a lot more pressure on the QB.
I was laughing at Eli calling for a penalty when he got a little tap on the head. What a Primadona.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Why the Rams lost today
Here's a reason. When your top 4 tacklers for the game are all from the secondary, you've had a tough game.
Fisher - 6
Archuleta - 5
Hawthorne - 5
Groce - 4 (Hargrove and Pisa both had 4 also)
That's tough.
Also, when Claiborne has 1 tackle and 1 assist and Coakley only has 2 assisted tackles.......that scoreboard is going to get lit up like a pinball machine.Last edited by txramsfan; -10-03-2005 at 02:31 PM.

Re: Why the Rams lost today
However, the same was true for the Cards game and that one turned out okay, but that's probably the exception and Sunday's example is more the rule.

They played Ok. The Rams, on the other hand, played like crap.

Re: Why the Rams lost today
Where your feelings were before this season started dictates if they are better or worse then one expected. I felt we would be doing great to win 9 games however my 38 years of Rams experience told me we would win about 6. Right now I feel like we can win 9 games so I guess my feelings are opposite of yours in that I think were better then expected. Like I said it all depends at what level you felt the Rams were at before going into the season that dictates for better or worse. Gawd I hope this makes sense.
