Lundy, Jones, Olsen, and Grier followed by Roman Gabriel throwing to his Flanker (Bernie Casey), and his Split End (Jack Snow) are my earliest recollections of watching Professional Football.

Those Blue and White uniforms with the spiral horns on the helmets....

    7 Consecutive Western Division titles....

I became a bit disenchanted with them when they left Los Angeles but I never considered changing allegiances.

Then there was this whole "GSOT" thing......

R&D, I'm right there with you. I was in my mid teens when the Rams adopted that uniform ('65) and then when Coach Allen arrived the next year, my entire sports world revolved around the L. A. Rams.

Those were great winning years. Playing 14 games a season they went 49-17-7 in five years, '66-70. Winning, uniform, great players. Terrific time to be a RAM!
THAT's why I became a Rams fan. The rest, as they say, is loyalty.

Why would I stop being a Rams fan? Because theyve had a couple of rough seasons? If that were the case eventually no teams would have fans because they all end up going through losing stretches. My kids mess up sometimes too, I don't just leave and start being someone elses dad. If you really are a fan, if you really love the team then its not even a question.

I've liked the Rams for as long as I've liked football. The Rams and football are synonymous with me. Even when I played football as a kid and teenager, it all related back to the Rams. When I played tackle football with my friends at the park, I always wore my #28 jersey. I was Marshall Faulk. Then when I started playing organized football and realized I couldn't be a running back lol, I asked for #76 and I became Orlando Pace.
The Rams are football for me. I talk smack about them during the bad times, and talk smack about the other teams during the good. Its loyalty. Hustle. Respect.

Wow me too, but like 20 years earlier. I may say we suck, but I always have hope and cheer real hard. I wanted to be just like Vince Ferragamo. I wound up with number 50 though and went to college on a scholarship. Never played there.
