Wide Receivers
I just thought this was interesting. At the start of the year people questioned our depth at WR. It has now been only a mere 10 weeks, and the Rams have 4 receivers left on the roster, and NONE of them played in a preseason game. Avery was hurt, and arguably didn't regain his full health until the bye week. Amendola, Gibson, and Martin were midseason pickups.
Its really hard to question a quarterback with that much turnover at the receiver position.

Re: Wide Receivers
Funny how a generalization about a quarterback turns to Bulger. I more meant it to those that think another qb could come here and have better success, especially a rookie in next years draft. We need to find stability at all the other positions in the offense before we install a new qb or we're setting him up for disaster.
If anyone can name a quarterback that can have consistent success finishing the season with none of the receivers he started with in camp, then feel free to bash Bulger.

Re: Wide Receivers
I completely agree we cannot blame Bulger because of the recievers. Ofcourse hes made mistakes but what football player doesnt. After seeing his performance against the Saints i am excited to watch the rest of the years games. Bulger looked great and so did the recievers, finally. No rookie qb will have any more success unless the recievers get better IMO.

Re: Wide Receivers
I am a regular clanram reader, but an infrequent poster. I still can't figure out why the Rams haven't signed a WR with some NFL experience, as they keep adding inexperience at the position. I hated the trade of Witherspoon at the time, but Gibson has proved me wrong so far. I like Amendola, except for the drop last game against the Saints. I don't know anything about Ruvell Martin, except that he doesn't play.
The Rams lose Burton for the season, which I see as a big loss. Why not bring back Derek Stanley, Ronald Curry, or Dane Looker for the #5 WR spot? There must be many available free agent WRs besides just those 3 former Rams. We should have signed Chris Chambers when he became available a few weeks ago, but they passed him up too. I understand the rebuilding mode, but experience is worth something.
