The wildest stat of 2010 (trust me, you'll say "wow!")
Not a category you hear about a lot, but in All Purpose Yards (rushing, receiving, kickoff return, punt return), the NFL leader right now is:
This guy!

How about them apples?Amendola, Danny Rams 2283.02
Sproles, Darren Chargers 2048.03
Foster, Arian Texans 2030.04

Logan, Stefan Lions 1820.06
Ford, Jacoby Raiders 1812.07
Goodson, Mike Panthers 1778.08

Yeah that's crazy. Not bad for a guy signed off a practice squad.

Re: The wildest stat of 2010 (trust me, you'll say "wow!")
Last season he finished 6th with 2,302. Just 20 yards in Seattle and he tops his previous best.
And STILL one of, if not the, most underrated players in the NFL."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

They mentioned that on the broadcast (or maybe it was a highlight show?) and it was awesome to hear! He's also dominating in return average over the last month or so. This guy is doing a lot of amazing things for us this year. He really has fought for every yard this year and I wish we had 5 of him!

They mentioned this during the game on Sunday and it was surprising to hear. He also is near the top of the list in a few other categories as well. Amendola deserves Pro Bowl consideration IMO.

Love this guy! I actually cannot believe how good he has been for us. The only mis play I've seen him make was the fumble on the 4 yard line this year, and a dropped pass while doing a crossing route against the Saints last year...Other than that this guy has literally made a very limited amount of mistakes and deserves a nice contract to be locked up here for many years.

That catch this year against the Hawks in the ED was UNbelievable. I've never seen a catch like that.

Re: The wildest stat of 2010 (trust me, you'll say "wow!")
Yeah no kidding. ESPN "Tuesday Morning Quaterback" just made an "All-Unwanted All-Pro's" list..people who were on practice squads, undrafted etc. I'll give you one guess as to who got snubbed from this list. First team, second team, AND special teams...unbelievable. Hopefully he can make some plays in the playoffs and finally get the recognition he deserves.
EDIT: They do mention him leading the NFL in all-purpose yards yet don't put him on their list..quality sports writing at its finest.Last edited by AtlantaRamFan; -12-28-2010 at 02:50 PM.
