Will mccutcheon survive the martz regime? How about todd hewitt?
Will lawrence mccutcheon stay with the squad post martz? How about todd hewitt, our equipment manager?
Note that the hewitts have been the rams equipment managers since bill granholme retired in the 50's i believe. Todds father held the job before him (i believe it was don hewitt)

They will clean house as far as football people.
I bet the EQP Manager stays.. That's fairly generic. Plus, they'll want to avoid Negative Page Ranking in that regard.
Lawrence McCutcheion should be meeting with a realtor tonight.

not sure on mccutcheon. i think he was an armey guy, not a martz guy. plus hes a tie to the teams past. if they keep army and ziggy, shaw is not firing all the football guys.
should be interesting, i wont be surprised either way.

Well, McCutcheon heads up player personnel. He's the Director of Player Personnel.. I don't see how they can say he's been a success. The players provided and aquired haven't been the answer.
If they want to turn around the ship, I don't see how you keep him.

I hear you tony, my point is that by that criteria, georgia should fire the entire organization. There is no evidence to suggest that mccutcheon ever had any real power to select anything. armey, ziggy, shaw and martz have made the decisions, with lovie having input for sure during his tenure. again, i think it could go either way with mccutcheon. In any kind of cleansing, to some degree the baby will get thrown out with the bathwater. There certainly hasnt been anything wrong with our wide receivers, but i bet henry ellard gets canned with the rest of the coaching staff.

Re: Will mccutcheon survive the martz regime? How about todd hewitt?
I understand your point.
I think NFL organizations are reluctant to admit tacitly or otherwise that a Director in the organization was a figurehead only (or a puppet), and would it not serve Shaw and Company to point the finger at another major player (Director of Player Personnel) in the organization.
The Director of Player Personnel usually has major input into the draft and free agent signings. In most cases someone in that position would have to sign off on or approve of major draft choices and FA signings.
It would be a hard sell to NFL insiders that this team failed soley based on coaching; and, if that was the case guys that we replace and give up on in STL - like Polley & Robert Thomas should be stars on their new teams.

Re: Will mccutcheon survive the martz regime? How about todd hewitt?
Like Lawrence,I think the Rams should bring in more old Rams for whatever reasons, like maybe Nolan Cromwell,Doug France,or even Jack the Blood.Just as guest speakers,or visiting coaches to lend there experiance. The O-line could benefit from France's perspective, the D backfield could by Cromwell etc.
We have a few of those guys now and its cool, and it also has to help.Get big Jackie involved more.
By the way. Will big Jackie be around after the end of the season?.
