Will to play OLB
From Bernie on Twitter (without links):
- Glad you liked the news on Witherspoon; Aaron Curry can play the middle. He has the size. I think he's a a strong possibility at No.2.
- Rams fans: Will Witherspoon was on 101.1 FM in St. Louis and said the coaches told him he will play OLB in 2009; no more MLB.

Doesn't bernie know that twitter is more useful for breaking news. The OLB stuff was already talked about by Devaney back in January.

News is always blowing in the wind. In fact, news is very much like the wind.
Bernie often breaks news.

I have a direct line to Chip Rosenbloom. Anything you'd like me to tell him?

Re: Will to play OLB
Witherspoon playing in the middle IS THE EXPERIMENT! sounds like the Rams are doing exactly what you and laramo want.... ending the experiment. Witherspoon is a natural OLB.... not a mike lb.
btw, we don't know Curry's going in there. all we know is that Witherspoon is sliding over to OLB. thats it.

Re: Will to play OLB
If accurate, why make this move and tell Spoon it's a done deal without anyone to fill the void? Seems premature to me.
During our chat with Scott Wright, I asked him if there were any concerns with moving Curry and he emphatically said no. That opinion seems to be the concensus for most draft analysts, but I agree with you laram0 that it would be somewhat of a concern IF that is indeed the plan.

Re: Will to play OLB
I like the point brought up on here. Witherspoon moving to the outside, awesome. Our DC knows him best, so this is a wise move.
I won't argue that Curry is a great player, however, I don't want to take the chance playing him MLB. He's been an OLB his college career. We are famous for experimenting players, lets knock it off.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!
