Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

I hope so, because he is a beast a linebacker. he isint the all time leading tackler in college football for nothing. I wouldn't mind seeing either tim or chris take brandon's job.

I don't think we'll see McGarigle playing OLB, he's a MLB.

I hope the starting LB's ar Chris Draft, Pisa, and Will. I doubt Tim could take Brandon's job.

Whoever's playing the best should start, no matter who it is.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

McGarigle is a mlb, and he is slow , he is ok for a backup on some occasions, but i don't think he is starting material, at least not yet, and as of now , not with us.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

Good question Giant. I had forgotten about Tim for a while but I do remember reading about him last year: a total, relentless / aggressive tackling machine at NW.

I hope we can help him develop into a reliable LB, even he works first with ST and then as part of our LB depth, maybe even at MLB.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

The only way I see that happening is if they Witherspoon back to the outside, and McGarigle would really have to be blowing people away for the coaches to even think of it. I don't get the impression he'd be the kind of guy you'd want dropping into coverage too often.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

no. I just asked because i liked him coming out of Northwestern. He is a tackling machine, and it would seem that he would have already had his shot. because takling is what we need help on, and that's what he can do.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

JJ, Giant's question seemed legit to me. A year ago I was excited about McGarigle joining our LB corps but then forgot about him until now ... and I still believe TM might have what it takes to make the team.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

He was a tackling machine at Northwestern. Sometimes, guys just need a shot. He's listed at a position the Rams need depth at, LB so that's a plus for him.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

He's good depth but can't see him starting at all unless there are a couple of injuries to our LBs. He is not as good as Chillar.

Re: Will we see more of Tim McGarigle this year?

He was athletic enough for college, but maybe not athletic enough for the pro game. At least that's what the scouts were saying, and the reason he fell to the 7th. However, the NFL has plenty of guys who aren't "athletic enough for the next level", so maybe he'll get a shot and make it stick.
