That's exactly what he challenged. Even so, if he challenged that we recovered the fumble, he should have gotten that right.

Any way you look at it, there's no TD.

A) Edge doesn't get into the endzone.
B) Edge fumbles and we recover.

milan- the play is not dead until the whislte blows..... obviously your player did not have control of the ball when he was flopped on by our player.... your guy should have been in the fetal position with the ball firmly tucked between his waist and his knees!!!

It was clear that he had control on the 5000 different replays they showed. He loosened his grip after johnny fat a** jumped on top of him. Signaling the end of the play.

again the play is not over until the whistle blows..... so the lesson here is not to celebrate a touchdown untilt the refs signal for one!!!!

i think i will complain that the cards player did not get the chance to celebrate since they did not signal for the td!!!
i could get used to this whining thing... you guys are great at it!!!!

Clearly you're not suited for any sort of argument. Who the hell celebrated? It wasn't a touchdown, it was a touchback, and the whistle blowing thing goes right back to the initial topic, please read the name of the topic once more and realize what you're arguing.

Is it just me or does Scott Linehan get disrespected by the refs? I don't think the refs would have made some of these calls if a steaming Cowher or Parcells were about to chop their heads off.

I think Linehan forever earned the ire of the officiating community following his "Loophole" speech after the first Seattle game, but that is just me.

i didnt think so.. those of us that did were taught to play until you hear the whistle!!!! i guess the guy that covered the "funmble" missed that part of football 101..... atleast he had the excuse that he missed that day... you never were never even enrolled in the class!!!

having over 1000 posts does not make you right, nor does being canadian... arent you guys suppose to like hockey?

Uh, I've played football for the past two years and I know how the way works. I guess being a prejudiced prick makes you correct? Or the inability to form coherent sentences without using more than 3 exclamation points?

He had the fumble clear as day, the refs blew the call.

my understanding is that once you review any part of a play the whole play is scrutinized.

From every replay I saw:

1. James was down before he fumbled.
2. James was down before the ball broke the plane of the end zone.
3. The Rams recovered the ball in the end zone and made no attempt to advance the ball into the field of play.
4. If the Rams player had possession of the ball while on the ground the moment he was touched the play was dead. Regardless of whether it came loose because of the hit.

Regardless, it is over and we move on.

it was not a fumble ....well officailly i guess it was..... but our guy recovered your guys fumble from our guys fumble!!! do i have it correct?

The referees just admitted to blowing the call FYI. I knew that once it happened that it would decide the game.

EDIT: Yes we play Canadian style. I'm not a big fan of it. I decided not to play this year but might go out next year.
