would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
Fun off season PURE speculation.
Just wondering if anyone would trade bulger for cutler. We would take a short term cap hit. We would be getting a younger highly regarded guy who may be better suited for our rebuilding process.
Denver is in a real jam with cutler. Who knows how the situation will further deteriorate. If they were to trade him, i think they need to get a starting qb back since i dont think they can pick up one of the usual suspects (ie garcia) and hope to contend.
No, denver is not going to reverse the original deal and give us cutler for tye hill and El Kabong, so lets not discuss that in this thread.
Your thoughts, as always, are very much appreciated on this one, which albeit is 99% likely to be an academic discussion, for cap reasons if nothing else.

Sure why not... Bulger is toward the end of his career and Cutler is just getting going. That being said..the Broncos would be idiots to make this trade. IMO but.. I still think that in the west coast marc can put up huge numbers.. therefore I want to see what marc can do!

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
Without question, but we'd likely have to add a draft pick or two. At this point however, I'd do almost anything to get rid of Bulger's contract.

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
There's someone that wouldn't take Bulger for Cutler...and that's the Denver Broncos.
I wouldn't mind it.

We can trade back Tye Hill to Denver for Cuttler... LOL..
We have
been the drafting joke of the NFL. That sucks.

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
I have to go with my home tow... er tri state boy, Jay "Herritage Hills Great" Cutler I'm not from HH, but I'm from a small town rural area, so when someone within an hour of us makes it big, I gotta root for him. So thats why I personally would, now I'll throw out a few football related reasons.
1) He is younger and has more upside
2) Like it or not he went to the Pro Bowl last year
3) Well those two speak for themselves, plus I gotta go.
(Not that anyone cares, but I'm getting ready to go to Panama City Beach for Spring Break, so this is my last post for an entire week, I know how will you survive without my limited input?
It will be tough to go a whole week without the Clan, but somehow I think I will survive. Anyways now back to Cutler)

C MOB, we expect that you will emerge victorious in the wet t shirt contest, to say nothing of your capacity to consume an entire keg in one night. Just dont drink and drive, we want you back!

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
Cutler is a meltdown waiting to happen. He has zero mental toughness and is the biggest baby in the NFL. I could only imagine the temper tantrums he'd throw playing behind the lines Bulger has had to deal with. I'll take Bulger any day over Cutler.

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
I'm in the same boat. It'd be nice to have a younger guy who is still getting better and possibly on his way to becoming one of the better young QBs in them league, but unfortunately trading for Cutler means getting his poor attitude as well. I'm tempted to pass just because of that.

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
I think the short term cap hit would be almost 10 million dollars. This would leave us around 5 million to sign our draft picks and any other free agents we want.
Even if it was an upgrade on the quarterback position... it would cripple the team financially.

Re: would anyone trade bulger for cutler?
Um...like yesterday.
For those commenting about how Cutler is a cry baby, perhaps you have forgotten how Marc Bulger responded to being benched last season?
Cutler is probably the most talented young thrower in the league today. He can flat out spin it. The entire Broncos offense, team actually, rested squarely on his shoulders last season. That team wouldn't have won more than 2 or 3 games if Bulger had been their QB last season. Cutler carried them, though he couldn't carry them far enough.
I'm not enthused by how Cutler has responded to this situation, but Cutler for Bulger straight up? Where do I sign?
