Would Bulger be doing better without the contract?

I have my doubts, but I had to just ask myself, would Bulger have played better if he didn't have that contract extension? Theoretically he'd still be proving himself I guess and play better than he is at the moment.

    Thoughts?

No, Bulger would have done better is we didnt call dink and dunk passes and didnt let 400lb Jenkins fall on him and shake him up. The conservitave play calling is the problem not Bulger. Bulger didnt get erratic untill after being flattened by Jenkins.

I am a little concerned that the contract went to his head, even though he doesn't seen like the type of guy to do that.

He is going start slow...he did not get much play in the preseason and he seems to be slow to warm up.

I am not concerned about Bulger. 2 fumbles by Jackson, yes that bothers me....Bruce didn't seem to be ready to play, and that is a concern also.

Yes Bulger is a slow starting QB which means he has to play a little more in the preseason AND run the real offense. This team completely misused the preseason and that is on the coach.
