Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
FITZGERALD EYEBALLING ARIZONA EXIT?
Only two regular-season games into the Ken Whisenhunt era, rumors already are flying receiver Larry Fitzgerald is looking to leave the Cardinals when his rookie contract ends.
Fitzgerald, as the rumor goes, is not a big fan of Whisenhunt's run-based offense, and for good reason. Fitzgerald currently is averaging only five catches and 53.5 yards per game, which puts him on pace for 80 receptions and 856 receiving yards for the season. He currently has no receiving touchdowns in 2007.
There's no indication that Fitzgerald, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2004 draft, plans to try to force his way out prematurely. Based on the escalators in his rookie contract, there was speculation when it was signed that the Cardinals would likely have to extend the deal after four seasons. Since this is Fitzgerald's fourth season, and given that it's hard to justify two highly-paid wideouts (Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin) if the offense doesn't take full advantage of both of their skills, it could be time for the Cardinals to think about trading Fitzgerald.
I'd take a shot at getting him. It's time to start thinking about our recieving corp, with age and injuries starting to slow Holt and Bruce down. He'd love playing in the Rams offense, I would think.
Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Oh lord, it's too early to speculate about this, but I'd take this guy in a heartbeat ...

I wondered how long this would take after his daddy, Dennis Green, left the desert.

Of course I would! But will he play here, heck no. We're to cheap to offer him a big contract.

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
id like us to have him but theres more imminent needs for us and they really would have to throw the bank to beat out the likes of Snyder,id rather us go for help on the lines!

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
yeah i highly doubt we'd get him and we have more pressing needs. but i think the rams want to save the money for jackson and to get more line/deffenseive help

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
Don't we already have Bruce, Bennett and Holt under contract? We can't committ more money to the our wide receiver core. Especially when other areas of our team are so weak(offensive line, linebacker, safeties).

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
Games are won and lost on the LINE. Given a choice between a skilled possition player and quality lineman, its not even a question. I take the lineman especially if he can protect the Quarterbacks blind side. If the Rams get a chance to pick up Fritz. or spend the money on linemen and maybe get 2-3 for the same $$$, there is no choice. THe Rams still have Holt and Bruce and there still is gas in their tank. Get the line fixed then go and get more skill possition players

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
If Bulger is flat on his back it doesn't matter who's out there to catch the ball. We need to spend our dollars on protection for our quarterback and on defense. We have enough quality receivers. We just need time to use them.

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
We need to extend Jackson's contract this off-season and lure in more defensive talent. No way do I want to waste money on a reciever we don't need. He's a great player, he's just not a good fit for the Rams at this point in time.

Re: Would this guy look good in blue and gold?
Why do you think we won't need a potential All -pro reciever next year.Bruce isn't getting any younger and as a matter of fact neither is Holt.As far as our O-line the pieces are there it is just going to take some time to get this unit to gel and when it does it is going to be a good young unit.I would definatelyconsider signing LF.It also takes away a strength from a divisional opponent.
