Would would you rather have? Current argument between me and RJ39

Who would you guys rather have? Matt Roth DE Iowa/Miami Dolphins ... Big guy, big motor, very physical, will hit anyone and anything he sees. Probrably one of the if not the most feared DE's in the country in 2004 or Tony Hagrove? Little guy that has some quickness but not fierce at all.



I chose Matt Roth
RJ39 chose Hargrove

I'll take Hargrove because of his upside. He has a huge motor and has shown flashes of brilliance. I cant wait to see what he can do in an actual defensive scheme.

Yea huge motor. And when does he flash Brilliance? Last season he played in the last 3 games 2nd and 3rd string guys. Little got Double Teamed and Hargrove couldn't get around. And also its not Marmies fault if Hargrove can't penatrate. You blame to much stuff on the scheme.

Haha. Couldn't think of anything for Tony Hargrove since he wasn't that great in College. Cmon Hargrove or Roth.

The list of people who were great in college but not in the pros gets longer every year..........

Hargrove for me, he's shown he's got the potential and he's in situ. I really think when we pick someone we should give them more than 2 years before we try and replace them with the next college 'stud'.

I will take Hargrove last year he had 51 tackles and 6.5 sacks last year Roth had 21 tackles and 1 sack.

Hargrove is getting better and better

If Roth makes the Pro Bowl before Hargrove, be sure to remind us of this thread. In the meantime, I'll go with Hargrove. Why you ask? I'll tell you.

Reasons for Hargrove over Roth

1. Hargrove is 22, a year younger than Roth
2. Hargrove is physically superior to Roth...faster and stronger
3. Hargrove has 20 starts under his belt compared to Roth's zero.
4. Hargrove is already here, therefore no cap hit as compared to the potential hit a cut and sign or trade to get Roth would trigger.

I know you got your Iowa blinders on, but in the current situation, Hargrove is the option over Roth.
