would you trade leonard little....

Would you trade leonard little for a #1 pick? I believe that cap wise, he is around 6 million next year, which is not too pricy for a contending team. If your answer is yes, how high would the pick have to be.

Little has not performed at a pro bowl level this year, for whatever reason. I really expected him to come out as strong as ever and i am not saying that he has been terrible, but in terms of rebuilding the defense, on the one hand he may be our best guy (i think pickett is actually better) but he isnt young anymore and there is all that baggage.

Not sure my view on this, wanted to know what the group thought.

ramming speed to all

I would trade Little right now for even a second rounder.

Re: would you trade leonard little....

Last January, I posted a thread suggesting that the Rams trade him if he were found "not guilty." I still think that would be a good idea.

Re: would you trade leonard little....

I'd do it. He'll be 32 by next season and is not who you would want to rebuild around. If we can get a 1st rounder....pull the trigger.

And replace him with?

lol

How hard are good DEs to find?

Seattle has already taken two of them from us because they can't find or draft any decent ones.

Our top DE right now is some kid we picked off the Jaguars scrap heap. I'd gladly take a 1st rounder over a 32-year-old Little who hasn't been a dominant DE in two years.

What are you all crazy. His brother died!!!! Do you realize how devistating that could be. I have 4 older brothers and if anything happened to any of them I would be in shambles. Before that he was playing good. Getting some pressure doing some damage. He is still a threat and will continue to be. He also gets plenty of double teams considering the inconsistant play of his mates.

Re: would you trade leonard little....

I like Little but I think he has about three years left in him now would be the time to trade him because his trade value has already diminished some what. I think they need to start building around strong character guys. I think Little has been a head case with all the crap surrounding him. I agree with Ferter it will be hard to replace him and that would mean we have no good DEs at this point but I would not be disappointed in seeing him go. That would free up some cap space and free our selves of his off the field issues.

Ok Hub, trade him. good luck getting a 1st round pick.

Just my opinion, sorry I ruffled your feathers again.

Ferter, the original question assumed a 1st round. I don't think we could get it, but if one was offered, I think we should take it.

As for my feathers, it takes more than your (or anyone else's) opinion to ruffle them....this or any other time.

Re: would you trade leonard little....

I could see the Rams getting a late first round pick for Little. Kevin Carter was traded for a late first rounder, and he was looking for a big payday to boot, while Little is signed long term.

Re: would you trade leonard little....

Why trade him? Like our defence needs any of our starters gone right now. If we trade him, who would we pick up? There's not one DE that comes to mind that we can get for little and I doubt we'd get a DE as our first rounder when we need other guys as well, for that matter, I doubt we can get a first rounder for him.

Re: would you trade leonard little....

I have a feeling that the only person we would get a first round pick for anymore would be Holt. Maybe Bulger, but injuries would be a factor there. Pace maybe.
