Take your pick, champ bailey or chris mccallister.
That would solve your shutdown corner desires, notwithstanding at a very very steep cost.

You should be ecstatic if you could make either one of those trades.
I'd do holt for none of them. I'd do holt for Bob Sanders. VERY young and VERY good
funny thing....it is no where near any definition of "ecstatic" for me........but hey that's just me.
I am still waiting to see what Bartell can do once they let him play.
Hell no. :angryram:Quote:

Holt for Bob Sanders?! That's a mockery of all that is just in this world.
I wouldn't trade Holt for a McAllister or Bailey either. What happens when Bruce is gone? Curtis and McDonald start. Please, GC.
I wouldn't make either trade. Holt is more valuable to this team than a top cornerback would be, especially considering the recent emphasis on contact rules in the secondary that works against the notion of a shut-down corner.
No, I would not. :tut Fair speculation, though.
Right now Holt is simply what Marshall Faulk was for our offense a few years ago. That is, in terms of the intrinsic value of a chess piece on the board. His presence holds much of the power for our Rams offense.
Hey, let's get Travis Fisher and company to do their diligent due! :clanram:
I'd trade my grandmother for a shut down corner.
Tx, i appreciate that perspective and our collective desparation, but it is well known that your grandmother no longer has the same open field moves that she had a couple of years ago. Now, if you were suggesting that you would trade granny bison for a shut down corner that might be a different story, given that granny bison, while a bit slower than in her prime, still runs a 4.39 40.

Come on, dude....seriously, 16 is an awfully young age to lose your credibility. Fact is, there is NO corner in the league worth trading Holt. The value brought to this team by the #1 corner in the league regardless of who that corner is, will never meet the value Holt brings to this team.Quote:

Argument against making the trade. The cornerbacks skills deteriorate with age at a faster rate than the wide recievers. Peak performance for peak performance, they may be about equal, but holt will retain a higher percentage of his peak value for longer than bailey (probably and of course, depending on injuries). Same reason why washington got killed trading portis for bailey, the corner lasts longer than the running back. Why washington thought that they needed to ADD a high draft pick for the honor of getting beat on bailey for portis will never make any sense to me, one of the dumbest deals i have ever seen.

Why not trade Holt for these three: Ed Reed, chris mccallister & Ray Lewis.
Assuming that chris mccallister plays for the Ravens.
Hell Ray Lewis sitting on the sideline or in a wheelchair is better than LB we have.
