Jeez. He's showing something that I want to see. Lets hope his frustration can bring motivation and he uses that next week.

I almost feel sorry for the dude, but it's obvious that this team does not respond well to him at all! AT this point in time we need a man who is a hell raiser ex. Coach Cower. I know we won't get him, but a guy can wish can't he.

Life is tough. This coaching staff has failed. This coach has lost all sense of moving forward. If i was a player i would be hesitant to play at full tilt. It has not worked out and he needs to reaccess his status. If he can't beat the division rivals then he is done.
He owns all the franchise lows in the record books. That's got to acccount for something. 76-16 outscored. That's as awful as this modern team has come.

Part of me feels for him,............but

    1. He owns a home there
    2. Getting ready to lose his job no doubt.
    3. I doubt he has to worry about selling his home at a loss perhaps.
    4. What and who will ever hire him? I'm sure all these things are running through his mind.

I say to late for him, but I did see and feel his pain.

it's to bad the team hasn't rallied around him because he is going to lose his job for it, I think he tried to be a players coach and treat them like men and for that he gets no effort, just be preparred Rams players the next guy could be a hard*** and you will be wishing Linehan was still here.

I hope the next guy is a hard A**. Isn't that what they and the players are being paid for?

The way he turned it around on the media was weak. I was ready for him to shout out "They were who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook".....

I said it last week, I'll say it again. Start benching people. Make it clear, if you don't do your job you'll go up and down the roster and see who can play better. This goes for WR, QB AND RB as well.

    What's he got to lose?

I actually feel bad for Linny- Saunders and Haslett haven't helped him at all. Saunders offense is looking more like his days in Washington than in Kansas City and Haslett is just proving that New Orleans was correct in dropping him. How can you expect to have a team that doesn't give up 72 points and almost 1,000 yds when you have a front four that can't get pressure, but a DC that refuses to blitz? He needs to have both of these guys in his office tonight and tell them they must change their philosophy or both will be shown the door.

    Re: WOW...Linehan has some emotion

I am a lifelong Rams fan, a former college athlete and a current high school coach. I think I know a little something about being an athlete and about sports in general. Let me tell you something. NO ATHLETE WORTH HIS WEIGHT HAS TO BE MOTIVATED BY A COACH. HE IS SELF-DRIVEN. An athlete who doesn't give his best (especially a pro who is getting paid handsomely) has no pride and will never help you win. This team is woefully short on pride and resolve. When Pam Oliver stands on the sidelines and says that the team is hanging their heads, that tells you all you need to know.

Linehan is a dead-man walking and he knows it. Fifteen out of the last eighteen weeks this team has lost, and we fans have had to suffer through embarrassing football. Every team in our division is better than we are and we have New England, Dallas and Buffalo coming up. This team better develop a backbone and fast.

yes it is although some coaches get the players respect without being a "hard***", for some reason Linehan never did here.

Good post. It starts in the trenches. If our line starts to crap out, bench them. If it goes to running back, bench Jackson. And so on.

Even though my favorite players can get benched, right now, I don't really care. IF we're not winning anyways, why hesitate to play the back ups? Who knows, they might strive even better than the starters.
