WR Depth and the "unknown's bios"

Sorry about the test post something is up w/ my browser.

I've been looking over the WRs on our current roster - obviously some will be cut - but what will the depth chart look like day one? Who will start opposite Avery? I mean, Laurent Robinson wasn't terrible for the Falcons and I always liked Tim Carter but what is the current situation, and with so much youth who is turning heads in practice right now?

    89 Foster, Brooks WR 6-1 204 4/9/86 R North Carolina
    15 Carter, Tim WR 6-0 187 9/21/79 7 Auburn
    16 Brown, Travis WR 6-3 202 7/26/86 1 New Mexico
    83 Lucas, Chad WR 6-1 201 11/7/81 1 Alabama State
    87 Byers, Jarrett WR 5-10 191 8/30/85 R Northeastern State
    19 Stanley, Derek WR2 5-11 179 8/27/85 2 Wisconsin-Whitewater

Re: WR Depth and the "unknown's bios"

I think Byers is the most interesting of the unknown WR we have..

Byers, from Kansas City, Kansas, is a three-year starter and 2008 All-America choice in football. He transferred from Coffeyville Community College to Northeastern State University in 2005. He finished 2008 with 57 catches for 699 yards and eight touchdowns. It was his skills as a kick returner that emerged in 2008 as he returned nine kickoffs for 338 yards and two touchdowns. An injury cut short his senior season in 2007. However, he bypassed an opportunity to enter the NFL draft a year ago after receiving a medical hardship waiver and was granted an additional season. Byers came back to Northeastern State where he broke school career records for receptions (165), receiving yards (2,545) and touchdowns (28). In 2006 he was selected as the Lone Star Conference North Division Receiver of the Year and to the First-team All-LSC-North. Recorded 51 receptions for 844 yards and 11 touchdowns and averaged 16.5 yards per catch . Byers also rushed for 182 yards on 14 carries and one touchdown, and returned six kickoffs for 113 yards. In 2005 had 43 receptions for 896 yards and nine touchdowns. Averaged 20.8 yards per catch and 99.6 yards per game while earning Second-team All-LSC-North.

I think we will be carrying 5 receivers, maybe a sixth and then having 1-2 on the practice squad.

    Opening Roster-
Avery, Burton, Robinson, Stanley, Carter and possibly Foster.

    P Squad-
Foster (if not on the roster), Byers and Nate Jones (been hearing good things from both of them)

Horace Gant. Just sounds like a hall of famer dosen't it?
With all the gravitas of Jackie Treehorn.
