Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
Here's mine:
The Rams offense takes off from day 1. Bulger, Jackson, Holt and company break single season records and make several All-Pro lists. The team eclipses 500 points. The defense comes together as well, showing enough improvement for the Rams to surprise everyone with a 12-4 record and the NFC West Championship.
In the playoffs, the Rams get a bye and then end the Cowboys' season in the Divisional Round (38-17), and the Saints' season in the NFC Championship Game (34-23).
Then comes the Super Bowl. The Rams against the Patriots. New England is 18-0 at that point, having steamrolled through the league in the regular season and the playoffs. EVERY sportswriter on the planet has the Patriots winning in a landslide.
But the result is: REVENGE! The Rams sack Brady 5 times, and he turns the ball over 3 times (2 interceptions, 1 fumble). The Rams' offense overpowers (Jackson runs for 143 yards), and overwhelms (Bulger throws for 329) the Patriots' defense. The 72 Dolphins cheer as the Rams crush the Pats' dreams, 45-17.

I absolutely love it and really can't add much more to the perfection that you speak.

Hmmm...
How about the four losses are @Dallas (avenged in playoffs), @New Orleans (avenged in playoffs) and @Cincinnati and @Baltimore?
The losses are necessary to enhance New England's shame in losing their perfect season!
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
The only thing to add to this script would be the rewards:
MVP-Marc Bulger
Offensive Player of the Year-Steven Jackson
Defensive Player of the Year-Leonard Little
Defensive Rookie-Adam Carriker
Comeback Player-James Hall
Super Bowl MVP-Marc Bulger/Steven Jackson
Now thats a dream season
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
AV I might be going to the Cincy game anyone else we can lose to?
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
Okay, how about the Steelers? Anyone going to that one?
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
Av, How can anyone want more than that? You've got me all hyped up now. GO RAMS !!!!!
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
Dream Season:
Season starts.... yada yada.... season ends we win superbowl!!!
YEAAAAA crowd goes wild.
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
2nd year Headcoach Scott Linehan has his Rams sneak into the playoffs with a 9-7 record. Rams qualify as the last wildcard team on the final Sunday of the season. Wild card round of the playoffs the Rams shellac the Bears in the windy city as Dante' Hall runs back 2 kick offs for TD's and adds a punt return for a TD for good measure. Final score RAMS 52 Bears 6.
The Divisonal round see the RAMS continue their torrid pace as they bury the Saints 45-3. Rams defense is gelling at the right time.
NFC Championship game vs. the rival Whiners sees the RAMS continue their dominance over the Whiners as they complete a 3 game sweep 35-0.
Superbowl
Patriots vs RAMS
1st play of the Game Marc Bulger is hit and fumbles before hitting the ground. OHH wait a minute there's a flag on the play. The official review is that the "TUCK" rule applies and the RAMS keep the ball. 2nd play from scrimmage Bulger hits Holt on the hook and ladder and Holt pitches to Jackson for an 80 yard TD. On the 1st play from scrimmage for the Patriots Tom Brady is crushed by Carriker and Little as they meet at the QB at the same time. Brady is taken out on a stretcher...Double Concussed!!!
Rams go on to win 72-0!!! The most lopsided win and 1st shutout in Superbowl History.
Stick that in your hat Mr Belichek.
Even the referees couldn't save the Patriots this time.

I would love that.
SOOOO, sooo much.
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
I'll take 16-0 and a Superbowl win, with us beating the Patriots 68-0 (we take out our starters in the 4th quarter and they will score about 17 points).
Re: Write your script for a Dream Season in 2007
Love dem both. anything that has us playing the Pats in the Bowl as underdogs and we win sounds good to me......

Somehow from the first quarter to the end of the game, the pats lose a point?:)
Whoops, NVM, you were talking about their record not their score.
