It's been reported on 1380 ESPN radio that Wroten is being suspended for 4 game for violating the leagues substance abuse policy. Has anyone else got any info on this?

I've not heard anything, but it makes sense since his "disappearance of late". I mean, he looked pretty good at times in the preseason, but suddenly disappeared from the radar screen. ...or at least, I didn't hear or see much from him.

1380 are also the ones who reported Terrell's failure to show fro a meeting and I have yet heard anything to confirm their story on that. I will keep digging.

WROTEN SUSPENDED FOUR GAMES

Howard Balzer of The Sports Xchange reports that the NFL has suspended Rams defensive tackle four games for violation of the substance abuse policy.

Wroten, a third-round pick in the 2006 draft, tested positive for marijuana at the scouting combine that year. As we've said before (and surely will say again), anyone who tests positive when they know the test is coming is either stupid or has a serious dependency problem.

Assuming that the positive test put Wroten in Stage One of the substance-abuse program, he likely had one or more other incidents before the violation that triggered the four-game suspension.

That statement just isn't true. Marijuana, unlike every other recreational drug, binds itself to your fat cells and can take months to leave your system. It's not unusual to fail a drug test for marijuana even if you haven't smoked it for a couple of months.

But seriously, this is another big blow to absorb right now. We don't appear to have anyone behind him on the depth chart. Does that mean we're looking for a UT to bring in or do we just go with a 3 man rotation (Glover, Carriker & Ryan) for the two DT positions?
