But, think about this:

Twice, we were within seconds of beating one of last season's SB teams. If one or two plays had gone differently in each game, we would have won. We held our own against a team that has our number.

Now, think about this:

Our defense is suffering. A couple of draft picks and free agents, and a new DC can't fix what was wrong.

We are a team that is trying to fix something that wasn't only broken, but condemned. I really hoped to see our boys get a 10-6 record this year. Realistically, 8-8 was about all we could expect. We shouldn't be too hard on the team or the coaches, they are all trying to take something that is broken and fix it. I know how hard this can be, since I have to take care of antique equipment and try to maintain it at work.

A good example is an old electrical panel at work. The manufacturer is out of business, and few parts can be found. Yet, I am not only expected to keep the panel in service, but also to find the parts to repair it. Yes, I can find the parts, and I can keep it going, but sooner or later, it will have to have the majority of the components replaced. On top of that, the parts I can find are outrageously expensive.

Same with the Rams. We can Band-Aid our O-line, patch our defense, but it won't be as good as new until we replace everything but the frame.

Be disappointed. You should be. I am.

But, at the same time, realize that we have called the repairman. He only has duct tape and bailing wire in his toolbox today, but he's on the phone trying to order the parts needed to completely replace the defective components. There's a 6 month lead time on the delivery. By May 1st, he should have 95% of the parts he needs to fix our problem.

Requesting UPS Red won't help. The replacement parts are still being manufactured. So, save your cash, and wait.

BTW, there is no guarantee the parts will work with our system. It may take more than 12 months to fix.

Grin and bear it. You are Rams fans. Show the world how much class we have.

I am and always will be a Rams fan.

But no make that a big BUT, Kicking a field goal has nothing to do with UPS Red or Any kind of band-aids or duct tape. It has to do with Linehan needs his head examined BIG TIME! This was the BIGGEST game of the year and he decides to get cute or macho or whatever he tried to do ? PLEASE.............:x

Agreed laram0, and also this Seattle team looks nothing like the Seattle SB team of last year.

I get what you are saying RFS, let's keep things in perspective. I can go with you on everything except comparing this Seattle team to last years team is a stretch.

We are rebuilding and sometimes that's how it goes. Some things though, like Linehan's game management have nothing to do with rebuilding.

Sam, I salute you for being able to take this one in stride. I for one cannot...I'm extremely pi$$ed off. While I am not calling for the coach's head, I would prefer it if he pulled it out of his arse so that he could improve his decision making and playcalling...
