Ya our defense overall has been a heavy improvement from last year. This offense is just textbook definition garbage. Boller is horrible. Our season is over so I want to see them put Null and and test what he's got.

I feel sorry for ram fans that went to the game! Nightmare!

Exactly!
And the backers played really good today. Chris Long totally set up that sack for Grant. Nice play!
Defense is really solid. But because they are on the field for 57 minutes a game, they get tired.
Re: Is this year's team worse than last year?
we stink,case closed on that,but no blame should go toward the defense,they played as good as could be expected,the o-line is horrible and maybe the worst ever.
Re: Is this year's team worse than last year?
This O is on it way to making history as the worse in NFL history I say yes.
Re: Is this year's team worse than last year?
well i hope all you fans that wanted to give boller a chance are happy..we are worse with boller in the lineup..i still think rams should have kicked a fg to avoid that shutout.i dont think the whole rams team is the worst i just think our offense stinks our d is way better than last year

When I say Chris Long, you might as well sub in "the #2 pick in the draft" because that is exactly what I mean. I have watched every single game so don't try to insult my intelligence. Sure, he has been great against the run and he helped create a sack for James Hall today, but you could get a guy like that in the fourth or fifth round of a draft. You get a player who can do that AND get sacks and pressure the QB with the #2 pick. So far, we haven't seen that.
It's different if this is the NBA where there is a rookie wage scale, but this is the NFL and he is expected to pay major dividends quickly and often. Instead we're seeing a player who comes off the field on second downs (even some first downs it's Little and Hall instead of Long) - essentially meaning he is a rotational player in the eyes of Spags - and when he plays it's mostly at the LE spot where he still struggles to get pressure. I don't know what your standards are, but to me that is completely unacceptable.

One of the biggest messages that Spags is trying to send is that his Rams will not give up.
Putting Null in, besides being a horrible idea for reasons related to talent and experience, means we are giving up.

See my above post. Kicking the field goal to avoid a shutout (as opposed to fighting for a TD) is also "giving up."
Re: Is this year's team worse than last year?
I know that I am "preaching to the choir," but our offense needs a new coordinator and some new direction. Mike Martz...will you come back and lead our team's Offense?
This is mind-numbing. Thank Heaven, Frank Gore wasn't in the game. This is becomming a broken-record every Sunday evening. Let's not go another week without making a personnel change.
Best to all Rams Fans!

when you are down 35-0 and not throwing the ball down the field,isn't that giving up ?
Re: Is this year's team worse than last year?
Defense = noticeably better
Offense = noticeably worse
Penalties = still killing us

Not with this receiver corps and Boller's aim. Running Jackson still gives us a better chance of scoring.
Re: Is this year's team worse than last year?
I agree with the general thought here, offense is worse and defense is better. We are getting killed with penalties and mistakes. These shutouts are very hard to watch.
