    Your All-Time Favorite Unsung Ram

We all have our favorite players. Most are among the Rams' All-Time Greats.

    The Hall of Famers...

    The All-Pros...

    The Pro Bowl players...

But, looking back, which unsung Ram player, who isn't in the HOF, and NEVER made a Pro Bowl or All-Pro team, is your favorite.

    Let's give them their due!

    Mine: Billy Waddy

Waddy was not a great player. He never had 40 receptions, or 700 yards, or more than 5 TDs in a season.

But, when I was a kid playing wide receiver, I "was" Billy Waddy.

Then came the 1979 playoffs. Rams down 19-14 to the hated Dallas Cowboys. Final 2 minutes of the game. Ferragamo back to throw, throws over the middle, tipped by Cowboy defender, and CAUGHT BY WADDY AND HE'S GOING IN FOR THE TOUCHDOWN!!!!!

    Thanks for that moment, Billy.

Re: Your All-Time Favorite Unsung Ram

    I've always been a Pisa T fan.

I know I've told the story here about Rams Training Camp '04, when while leaving the field, Tinoisamoa stopped by my wife and I and started playing with my oldest son (6 months old at the time). He asked if he could hold him. And there I was with a convicted felon who gets paid to commit violent acts on other human beings asking to hold my son. Being a father of the year candidate, I practically THREW my son at Pisa T while reaching for my camera.

Still have the picture. My son doesn't remember it, of course, but I'll never forget it.

Fred Dryer - maybe it was the times, but eatin' veggies and sleepin' in a VW bus, and then wreaking havoc on the field. Too cool.

This is tough. 2nd and 3rd were Pat Thomas and Rod Perry. (Our smurph secondary).

I was a huge Kevin Curtis fan. I loved the athleticism and fire he had. I really wish we'd kept him.

Tom Nutten never got much love, but talk about a warrior. Also liked Andy McCollum a bunch. They didn't get as much pub as Big O and Timmerman, but they helped complete a strong offensive line.

Sure Isaac, Torry, Marshall, and Kurt got all the recognition and love for the GSOT, but we all know football is won in the trenches, and considering Martz never made their lives easy, we should all give the o lineman props.

(guess what position I used to play in high school )

Dryer made the Pro Bowl though, so he doesn't count.

Ricky Proehl, he was a member of the GSOT and was very clutch, sure handed receiver with big heart. I would like to keep Amendola for years he could be our modern Proehl.

Bulger for a very simple reason. He is one of the true warriors of the game, in the truest sense of the phrase. Bulger battled through every game through adverse conditions. I know a lot of people really hate him, but if I am being honest I would have to say he is my favorite ram of all time.

To me it seems like you're just pushing it. How could you possibly like someone so much? In 20 years, he will never be known or mentioned in Rams history again.

7th round pick in the 2002 draft, still on this team today. Old reliable #45. Chris Massey. The man just doesn't screw up.

Mike "The Tackle" Jones gets my vote. No bigger play in Rams history than this one.

Re: Your All-Time Favorite Unsung Ram

I liked London Fletcher and had absolutely no idea why we let him go in his prime, considering we had to wait until last year to find his replacement. I follow the Bills and he was a favourite of mine there too. I guess he just made the Pro Bowl, but he was kind of famous for getting no recognition and playing at a high level.
In the GSOT years I loved Ricky Proehl. I couldn't believe we didn't sign him and really didn't like when he beat us with Carolina in the playoffs.
