Your greatest Rams moment

My cousin worked for a TV station in Philadelphia and got me a field pass to the Rams and Eagles game in Philly. I got to watch the entire game on the sideline and after the game I got to shake hands and get an autograph from Jack Youngblood & Eric Dickerson.

great story, you must have been very excited,I think mine was being at the Monday night game after they won the Super Bowl,To see the Rams finally raise a championship banner was a hugh thrill for me and the game was very good also, plus the dome was rocking that night.

Mine was when the Rams hired Al Saunders as OC, the Rams lay waste to the league with the 3rd ranked offense, Al Saunders is hired as head coach, the Rams field the 4th ranked offense the following year, and defeat the new england patriots in the superbowl 44-31.

Re: Your greatest Rams moment

I have been at two Rams games.
1. The Monday Nighter against the Eagles in 2004 when we had to win out to get in. That was when Steven Jackson and Marshall Faulk started the game running down their throats, the Eagles starting defense (minus Kearse), something nobody had done all year. Then the backups went in and we maintained our lead and won 20-7.
2. I was at the Steelers-Rams game this year (horrible display for Rams fans though, at least half of the stadium was probably Steelers fans The Rams fans that were there were very good though), and got to see them retire Marshall Faulks jersey, and Isaac Bruce move in to 3rd all time in receiving yardage behind the greats Jerry Rice and Tim Brown. Both of those were amazing to see, especially Faulk getting his jersey retired.

Re: Your greatest Rams moment

Flying from the UK to see the Rams play twice.

1. September 2000, TWA Dome vs Whiners.

A forty something to twenty something Rams win. (Shook Tory Holts hand outside the stadium before the game. The same hands that had caught a touchdown in a superbowl some 9 months previous. I didn't wash for a week!!! He was amazed that I had come in from the UK to see the team play)

Travelled alone, but had a spare ticket. Ended up taking a waitress from 'Jakes stakes' on Lacledes landing to the game......score!

2. October 2001, Monday night football vs Tampa

A Ram loss, saw more of the team again. Though no up close and personals this time round. Took a friend with me on this occasion. The waitress was not available that year. She had had a baby!!!!!

Other than that, Super bowl memories, and watching Flipper Anderson rack up 315yds to break the single individual receiving record in one game eons ago...

Also, seeing Ron Brown out sprint Darrel Green to score a touchdown on a kick return in the 80's. Brown was visibly pulling away from a very fast Geen...!!!!

:r

Re: Your greatest Rams moment

I was at training camp the year the Rams went to the Super Bowl. They were nobodys. I got so many pictures, autographs, personal memories that will never be replaced. You could actually talk to them just like an every day Joe. They held my daughter, joked around and then they all went on to win the biggest game of the year.

My biggest treasure from that year...an autographed football of all the receivers
Ike
Holt
Az
Ricky
Horne

....who would have thunk it ;-) What do you suppose that is worth?
