Your Opinion on our Future
.
Let's say we go 8-8 next year and don't make the Playoffs.
Do we keep Linehan after that?

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
Against a last place schedule? With or without any significant free agents? Who do we draft? Do we still have major injury problems? Is it because the offense still can't score?
Without answers to some of these questions, its very difficult to answer your question. That said, my guess is that the front office would give him another chance if the offense played up to the level we all believe it can.

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
I honestly have no idea how we'll do next year. I'd have to see how we do in free agency/draft, and how our opponents do.

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
No no no... against a 3rd place schedule. We win the strength of schedule tiebreaker over the whiners for now.

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
I don't think the rams can turn this thing around in a year. Pace was grate but I got to think he is at the end and he has basically miss two years now. The rams has to find a LT and up grade the O-line up and down. They need a pass rushing DE, a wr with some speed, they need a FS. I don't know if we can find that many players that can turn this team around in a year.:\

How much do you invest in Linehan?
I'm pointing out that Next year, the same question will probably need to be addressed.
We have an easy schedule. We have an Easy Division.
Where is the line - or at 8-8 with an easy schedule are you going to back Linehan for a 4th and then a 5th....

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
although the schedule may look so called easy, lets remember that other teams will improve so that "sure" win may not be so easy and another reason is we have won only 3 games so I don't think we can call anything easy.we need more than just getting players healthy to be a playoff team next season,I think we have a shot but nothing is going to be easy about it.

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
If he goes 8-8 next year, the should be taken off the hinges to allow him and his staff to leave Rams Park in a hurry.

Re: Your Opinion on our Future
Here's what our schedule looks like for 2008:
HOME GAMES
Whiners
Cardinals
Seahawks
Cowboys
Giants
Bills
Dolphins
NFC North (Bears?)
AWAY GAMES
Whiners
Cardinals
Seahawks
Eagles
Redskins
Patriots
Jets
NFC South (Falcons?)
Well I see 1 road win for sure.....At New England Patriots!!!
As said earlier it's real difficult to speculate how our oppositon will look in 2008. There are always teams the faulter that are supposed to be good (ie Saints 2007). On the flip side there are always surprise teams, better than predicted (ie Packers).
My feeling hasn't changed from 2007 to projecting 2008. We had a playoff team (if we can stay healthy) in 2007 and we will be better in 2008. Bennett, McMichael, Leonard and Carriker to name a few, will have a RAMS year under their belts. Seriously, of all the teams we've played this season, who or whom really scares you? My answer is none of them. A healthy RAMS team will be competitive with every team in the NFL.
I can't wait for 2008....Rams are coming to New England and will be playing the Pats in my backyard!!!! I also will be definitely going to St. Louis for the Bills game. I have some very close friends that are Bills fans and the last time our teams played each other was in Buffalo and we all went up there for the game. So now we all go to the friendly confines of the DOME.
C'mon RAMS let's beat the PACKERS Sunday!!!!!Last edited by laram0; -12-11-2007 at 12:22 PM.
