greatest news I have heard in while. This guys is the 2nd ot 3rd best RB in the league he is awesome and essential for our teams success. This whole Mcfadden thing baffles me. We have the second or third best back in the league drafting him at number 2 you are saying he will come in and be the best or second best back in the league which he definately isn't

We should only draft McFadden if we are planning some crazy trade with Dallas or something. I don't think our front office would ever think that complex though, lol.

This is good news and I've read that they wanted to get an extension done by the end of training camp. However, are they going to want to pay him like the 2006 Steven Jackson (2300 yards, 16 TDs) or the 2007 Steven Jackson (1200 yards, 6 TDs)?

I can see the Rams trying to lowball him and I won't blame Steven for holding out if that's the case. However, I can only imagine the turmoil and controversy that'd create among Rams fans here as well as it possibly being a distraction to the team. Let's hope they can come to a compromise and knock out a good, fair contract before the season begins.

I think you pay him like the 06/07 S.Jackson 1750 yards, 11 TDs plus all the escalators and insentives and if he plays like 2006, he gets paid accordingly, and if not we probabaly still get a great runner for a decent dollar.
