If you mean bold as in anything can happen, then it is 16-0.

sorry thought I posted it but some choices were too long so it didnt work, and the 1st round QB since 2008 includes Ryan, Flacco, Stafford, Sanchez, Freeman, and Bradford and Tebow could be thrown in there but it's unlikely

I personally think that Miami will make the playoffs. As long as their RBs stay healthy though. Added Marshall to the receiving core and signed Dansby. A solid O-Line with a lot of young players. My only question is Can they win with NYJ and NE in their division?

Rams go 9-7 and make the playoffs. Bears win the Super Bowl over the Colts 30-28.

Don't know how bold of a prediction this is, but I'm saying Philip Rivers wins the MVP next year. I think he is primed for a huge season.

Rams will go 8-8. And begin the rebuilding state. Consider this a good season.

Hey, I believe this is completely within our grasp. Our defense will definitely be better as Spags polishes the players and adds more plays. But the O-line will end up being the determining factor. And I'm not too optimistic about them.

    Miami will make the playoffs.

They had a decent season last year with a patchwork receiving core. While some of those receivers were decent, they're better suited as #2 guys (Hartline, Bess, Camarillo).. Marshall will allow them to thrive in that slot role, while opening up the offense.

I also like the improvements they've made to their defense.

I like all of the teams on your breakout list to have good seasons. Having said that, I voted for the 5th choice

    Re: 2010 Bold Predictions

Chris Johnson does NOT lead the league in rushing. He ran for 2,006 yards last year. Historically, that does not pose well for the NEXT year in the RB's career. For example....

---Dickerson ran for his record-setting 2,105 in '84 and 5.6 per carry. In '85 that number fell to 1,234 and 4.2 per carry. After '84 he led the league twice more in nine seasons.

---Jamal Lewis ran for 2,066 yards (5.3 per carry) in '03. His '04 season he barely scraped 1,000 (1,006 specifically) and dropped his per carry number to 4.3. He never again led the league.

---The great Barry Sanders topped two grand (2,053) at the age of 29 with a career high 6.1 per carry. He played one more season before retiring; a season which produced the lowest yardage (1,491) since the first half of his career, and the lowest per carry average (4.3) in his entire career.

---The saddest story in this tale is Terrell Davis. Over his first four seasons, his numbers ramped up until he hit 2,008 in '98. He accumulated 1,194 yards over the next three seasons combined!

---For you youngsters, before he sawed his wife's head off, OJ Simpson was an outstanding running back. He hit 2,003 in '73. He led the league two more times in his career, but in the year following his 2,003, he only managed 1,125.

---Though he never hit 2,000, Earl Campbell completes our list of RBs with a 1,900+ season. He led the league in each of his first 3 seasons culminating in his 1,934 yard season in '80. He played five more seasons but never again led the league.

Chris Johnson is in rare company. He is one of only seven players to eclipse 1,900 rushing yards in a season. However, of the other six, NONE could put it together in the following season, and MOST never really were the same runner again.

As I said, Chris Johnson WILL NOT lead the league in rushing.
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod
