    $35,000 saliva

    I bet T.O. gives a spit now...

    Dec 18, 2:53 PM (ET)

NEW YORK (AP) -Terrell Owens was fined $35,000 by the NFL on Monday for spitting in the face of Atlanta's D'Angelo Hall during Saturday night's Cowboys-Falcons game.
The flamboyant Dallas receiver was not suspended.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello announced the fine, which came after Hall knocked Owens out of bounds on a pass play during Dallas' 38-28 win.

"I got frustrated and I apologize for that," Owens told the NFL Network after the game. "It was a situation where he kept bugging me and getting in my face."

If the officials had seen Owens spitting, he would have been ejected from the game under NFL rules.

During a playoff game last season, Washington's Sean Taylor was kicked out of a game for spitting at Tampa Bay's Michael Pittman. Taylor was later fined $17,000.

35 grand to Owens is nothing, they needed to make a statement and suspend Owens for a game.

Does anything this fool does surprise anyone?

I don't care how good he his, or what he "can" bring to the table, I'd never put up with his cr*p. He just doesn't get it. ...and he never will. My gawd, his act is getting old.

I'd love to see him blackballed from playing in the NFL. Maybe it would send a message to other "would-be" players to get it together. :imho:

TO is now denying he spit in Hall's face. I think that statement speaks for itself.

Did anyone go on espn.com and look at what Tom Jackson said about T.O.? That explains it all, and I'd LOVE to hear what Irvin has to say about this. T.O., you're truly a terrible person....
