Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
Which team are you pulling for now that the Rams' season is done?

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
I am rooting for the redskins. They are playing well and playing as a team and they have special motivation due to the loss of Sean Taylor.
I took my nephew Jake to the skins/boys game today and we had a great time despite the cold and the rain. I bought him a football and a Portis jersey. It was a nice win. Great defense and the offense was scoring.
The redskins have a nice winning streak rolling right now and I would love to see them take out the Seahawks this weekend.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
NFC- GREEN BAY PACKERS. WHY? BRETT FAVRE
AFC- PITTSBURGH STEELERS. WHY? BIG BEN
I really hope that the Patriots get knocked off and don't make it to the Superbowl.

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
Green Bay. The team I used to like before the Rams. Brett was QB back then, too, back when they were still called the "Acme" Packers. Heck, even Lombardi was young.
Seriously - I can't think of a better feather in Farve's cap than to show brady how a real QB can get it done.
I can see it now....Packers 57, cheaters 3Super Bowl Champions 2013!

I voted for Jacksonville. My son kind of likes them, and they play only 2 hours away from here.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
Probably Green Bay. My AFC team which I have kind of taken a liking to, the Texans, was ruled out of playoff contention, so right now it's really any team that can beat the Gaytriots.
Favre deserves this one, then he will surely retire.

Packers. How could you not root for the old man to win it one more time?

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
I'm rooting for the Pack and the Steelers. I need a little nostalgia right now. Something in the NFL that lasts more than a week. I need old school. I need dirt and blood and grass. I need Jack Lambert's toothless grin and Ray Nitchsche calloused soul. I need Terry Bradshaw's bayou drawl and Lombardi's Brooklyn tawk. I need the frozen tundra.....the steel curtain......the Immaculate Reception.....the ageless golden eagle......Taylor.....Harris....Lofton.....Ward.....White.....Greene.
I NEED THE PACKERS VS. THE STEELERS.
Restore some history to this game."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
Anyone besides the Pats and Seahawks.
I would like to see the Pats have to face Jacksonville and not Pit because Jax is the better team and could beat the Pats. The only other team who has a legit shot against the Pats is the Colts so I hope if the Pats make it to the AFC Championship game it's against the Colts.
Here is the AFC scenerio I want....
Jax beats Pit
SD beats Ten
Then the next round would be
Jax vs NE
SD vs Colts
If NE makes it past Jax, I want the Colts to beat SD so the Colts would face NE in the AFC Champ game and hopefully the Colts will win.
In the NFC I suppose the Cowboys have the best chance at beating the Pats since they stuck with them for a half earlier this year.
So the bottom line is anyone who can beat the Pats are good in my book, even if it has to be the Seahawks I guess. :\BRUUUUUUUUCE

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
As long as the Pats or Colts don't win it, I'd be happy. Wouldn't mind seeing the Jags win it all, I like Fred Taylor.
But going for the Skins to win it all. In memory of Sean Taylor, and because I really want an NFC team to win it this year.

Re: Adopt a Team for the Playoffs
I voted jags, they got a great defense and a good qb in david garrard. I also like del rio a lot. He is also a class act, and dresses schnazzy.

Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams

Greenbay
Several friends and family in WI. Plus Favre is a class act and has always had the respect of his team. The only problem is I have never liked Favre in the playoffs because as good as he is he can sometimes try to hard and throw a lot of picks.
